Baby I am not perfect

"Baby I am not perfect" by: Chloe J. Riccardo
(Dedicated to all the women and men who find themselves trying to be supermen, superwomen this is for you...People have to realize you're human too and you can only be yourself)

Baby, I am not perfect not at all...
Why because I know my flaws.
Baby I am not perfect because I will never have your daydream's ideal figure, her voice, her scent, her smile, her style, her dress, or even her social circle because
Baby, I am not perfect.
I will never have the image of what's in your mind.
I'll never be able to have the ideal I.Q. that would simply take too much time to develop because I would need that time with you and Baby, I am not perfect.

I'll never look like the object that holds your attention in magazines, videos, or any form of media that captures your eyes attention or that you would find pleasing.
So baby, I am not perfect.
You may believe in your heart that your woman is supposed to be everything you ever dreamed of for the one who would capture and captivate your spirit and your being.
Baby, I am not perfect because I will never be able to be happy every single moment I am with you. I cannot have the happy, perky, jolly attitude. There will be moments when you may get frustrated, confused, disappointed, or upset. There will be moments when you realize I am not going to be the person you may have had in mind. I am not going to have everything that you may have dreamed of or thought I could be. So I want to let you know Baby, I am not perfect.

But Baby I may not be able to give you all that you desire and treasure within yourself.
So Baby, I have to let you know this ahead of time. If you and I are friends, lovers, or have a bond deeper than all the oceans and seas around the world. I have to let you know ahead of time before we share our worlds and lives together. Baby, I am not perfect.

What do you love about being an American in our country?

ARE YOU PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN? TELL ME WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING AN AMERICAN? BY: CHLOE JEWEL RICCARDO AKA "HONEY BROWN SUGAR"

I am extremely proud of my country I really am. I even call myself a Black American Princess because I have been able to receive so much from a loving household. I am very proud to be an American because our country is built on some of the best character traits that are needed in order for you to make into society. We are built on power, strength, fight, persistence, love, sacrifice, control, and discipline. Our society needs that every day. Our country needs that every day at times I remind myself that once you walk out the door of your home you really do impact the world. You contribute something to your country. You represent what our country's motto is all about. So I want to know people what do you love about being an American?
What do you love about the USA? Can you tell me things disregarding the ugly side or the secrets. What do you love about our country? What do you enjoy about it that many people may not understand or even comprehend about our country. People all over the world visit North America every single day. They travel by bus, plane, train, car,and boat. Immigrants come to live here from foreign lands to be apart of the "land of opportunity". So you tell me what do you love about being an American. Think hard of it...do you appreciate all that is sacrificed for you. The military, the navy, the air force, our president's decision, our educational system, our judicial system, our values, the American dream that we have for ourselves every single day. You tell me what do you love about being an American. I love that I can walk outside and feel protected, I love that if I am not safe, or in harms way I can go to a police officer, I can get justice for my case, I can give to people, We are allowed to share our voices here and can be heard. I love that I can be able to have freedom to be myself completely and not be ashamed of anything. How I dress, how I think, how I feel, who I love, who I socialize with, or anything. I love that our country requires for you to learn lessons even when you know you have done wrong. I love that our country allows you to feel free to be yourself religiously, spiritually, and emotionally. I love that I can have a chance to have opportunities that the less fortunate may not have. But that the less fortunate can receive from kind hearted individuals and people who love with their whole being and heart. I love that we can be creative, invent, cure, and help those in the medical field. I love that people can fight for themselves and get what they believe in for example like Women's Suffrage, Gay,Lesbian, & Transgendered people, Handicapped, African Americans Social Movement, Immigrants coming from all over to explore and be heard. Our country has been through battles and we still are to do this day. I believe and love that we also are willing to sacrifice for their own rights. So that's the message of America. So you tell me people What do you love about being American? Are you proud to be an American?

TOP AFRICAN AMERICAN BACHELORS

I knew this was something I had to write about and now this feels even more right for me to write this blog entry for my blogazine. Well in our society I have always noticed this about how people are treated especially minorities in society. Now don't get me wrong we have evolved over the centuries and definitely in this century. However, something I have noticed is that African American men and women are still treated to this day without respect and still have not ever been treated as equal individuals. I noticed it just tonight and its something that makes me wonder when will we ever been accepted as a people and not just looked at in a certain fashion or down upon. I went to a party and the party ended where the cops were arguing with the gentlemen I will say towards the end of the night were not treated well at all. The gentlemen just so happens to be African American. When I saw the display of him arguing it made me realize that our police officers still do not show us the same respect that we need displayed in todays society. It still affects us and it can still cause a problem for people. So I want to show the positive image of black men and women. Successful African American young men first. I am not going to forget about the ladies believe me they will get their share of time. I just want to focus on the males first. It is June right now , June is African American Music Month, and Father's Day is in this month. So I want to focus on the men first and then the ladies will get their recognition next. I really wanted to show this because at times a lot of images of African American men are not showed in a positive light to reflect what they really are about in society. I am giving you the African American men in society who from different fields and what they display in society. Some African American men come from entertainment backgrounds, political, arts, and so on. I will continue to add on and add more throughout the time I want to add more successful African-American men who need to acknowledged. I just want to give them their credit because at times it is not shown to people. They don't see the vast changes and powerful affects they can have on a generation.

Some of the most successful African American bachelors are from the ages between 20-40+...are

1. Shaffer Smith aka "Ne-Yo"

2. Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints

3. Floyd Mayweather

4. Lebron James

5. Ray J

6. 50 Cent

7. Trey Songz

8. Larry Johnson

9. Usher yes I love that man lolz but yeah Usher too

10. Tyler Perry

11. Lebron James

12. Lance Gross
All of these young African American bachelor's have been successful and have done very well for themselves in society proving that any average man is capable of doing the same for himself. All of these young men have projects they are working on at this moment.
Trey Songz has a new show called "My Moment" which will air and has just debuted on BET tomorrow June 29th, 2010. Which is a documentary focused on his life as an entertainer and performer. Lance Gross is still of course in many films and is on Tyler Perry (another one of the bachelor's I chose) on "House of Payne", Ne-Yo his new album will debut very soon titled Libra Scale which is his sign by the way lol his birthday is (October 18th). Usher of course you know his album is doing very well with songs in constant rotation on the airwaves. Lebron James they are trying their best to get him here in New York so we will see. So all of the bachelors I chose are very successful and prove that you can come from anywhere and can become successful. Each of them have their own story and their stories show that they you have the success, the drive, and power. You can be able to become successful and pursue your dreams with passion. It is always attainable. So to all the bachelor's I chose I hope you see I am not trying to exploit you but simply to honor all of you. That's what it is all about. Keep it up!!!! and Keep motivating us all. =)

THE NATALEE HOLLOWAY SAGA

Natalee Holloway the story the story of the Alabama teen who went off on a school trip to Aruba and never returned has been around news programs all month long and has become one of the major stories that this decade has been affected by for the past five years by families.
It is interesting to see how the name of Natalee Holloway contains the word hollow....meaning empty cavity or an open sphere in space. That is exactly how many people feel about Natalee Holloway.
The story rocked the newsrooms and even homes with everyone was touched by the story of Natalee Holloway when it first appeared across the screen in my own home. I was first struck by the fact that she and I are about the same age. Secondly this story was devastating of course and this was something every person who has ever been affected by these kind of stories can relate to them personally. I thought to myself when I first heard it this could have been me. Especially since the year Natalee Holloway passed away and took her vacation trip to Aruba in 2005. I was about to leave for my trip to Florence, Rome, Pisa, and Lucca to study beginner's Italian when I was 18 years old. I of course discussed this with my beautiful and worrysome mother. So I can go and have the time of my life of course. Which I certainly did. I was with one of my dearest best friends you guys already know, Marisa. So when Natalee's story hit the airwaves I was affected by it because she was kidnapped and she was killed. She was a young woman who was by herself and was completely naive and alone. I almost feel at times that when the story did hit the airwaves it was a wake up call for all young girls to finally get a chance to see that they need to always have someone with them. Especially in the case of going on vacation with friends, family, your school, or any group. The people around you have to be considerate for what you and where you are at all times. The Saga of her life continued to come across the screens all over in news stories. It was as if her story needed to be spread across the community. I believe that is true Natalee's story is one that is for young people. It gives us the knowledge to realize that at times we cannot even trust people around our own age. We cannot trust our peers our guards cannot be easily let down in a situation where there is a person who is solely alone and wondering with a strange individual. Her story is also one of hope too that some day Joran Van der Sloot will finally admit what he has done and that it really is not fair at all. Natalee's story was even portrayed across the small screen as well on Lifetime which was a way to get the attention of people so they could wake up and see how special she really was and what she represented as well. That young women always coming from everywhere around the world need protection around them in foreign countries and even at their own homes. I hope this will raise more attention and awareness to her story.

THE GIRL EFFECT

I found this website just now and I am already in love with the message and what they stand for already. I was just talking to my mother about how at times the less fortunate we always need to help. Even when we are struggling ourselves we have to help those who have less than what we have and give to them. I always have been a sucker for helping the poor and less fortunate but I know now that at times you may not have enough but you have to help them as well. The Girl Effect is a website that allows people to give young adolescent girls the chance to have an education. This is something I stand for 100% because I am an educated young black woman. How can I not be behind this message at all. I believe in girl power, I was a Spice Girl fan as a little girl so I am 100% behind the Girl Effect and the message behind it. I believe the Girl Effect website and organization will give a special young lady the chance to have her own opportunity to be in an environment where she can learn, grow, come up with creative ideas, aspire, and become the individual she wants to be in society's eyes. I am about that message 100 percent and I will try my best and I encourage other people to find a young lady and give back to someone who needs an education too. We all have had the chance to have an education in our country. Why not give a person the same thing and the opportunity to go to school, have the same experiences, where a uniform or not, spend time with other children, and grow into the people we want them to be. So everyone all the ladies and gentlemen please visit http://www.girleffect.org/

EXPRESS: BANDED SLEEVELESS DRESS

THIS IS THE BEST DAMN DRESS I EVER TRIED ON IN MY LIFE LADIES. I love this dress I felt sexy, confident, curvy, happy, successful, powerful, accomplished. I felt every way a woman should feel in a dress that makes her feel confident and happy. So Express sorry to shout you out but hey I am bringing more business in for you! I love this dress and eventually I will purchase and go somewhere in that dress. In the mean time ladies you would love it to. It comes in three colors: blue, red, and black. Problems in relationships and life how do we recover from them?

This has been on my mind for a long time actually it disappoints me that some times our past can always affect the way we are. I know that at times we all must go through changes in order to become the people we are supposed to be but it always crosses my mind "What if?" Old relationships whether they are friendships, romantic relationships, or even relationships with our own relatives and the people we love most. Why is hard to recover from relationships at times when you still desire the person. When you still want to be with them or when you still have the need to be around the person who makes you happiest the most. How do we recover from old relationships? Minus the problems or challenges we face while we are dating or seriously committed in the relationship. How do you recover to regenerate yourself and move on. How do you recover from a relationship or friendship with a person who you have known since you were a child or teen. Let's say even if it is not a personal relationship or even a business relationship between co-workers, boss/employee, a social group, etc. How do you find a way to make things more successful within yourself so you can move forward. How does it work? I believe the best way to recover from a relationship, friendship, or whatever the issue may be. You must move forward for example a break up, someone you may have had feelings for, an argument with a relative, losing  a job, or dealing with the challenges many people face in life. How do you bounce back again. I believe exercising, working on a project, reading, dancing, traveling, doing things you have never done before. For me it is salsa lessons, horseback riding, white water rafting, going around the world again to Europe or Africa. Or going somewhere, helping a person in need, or even just having fun doing the silliest things. That is way we recover from the issue or the problem. Relying on your faith to is probably one of the biggest things you need in order to bounce back so you can be able to sustain whatever the problem you may have faced. That is how you recover. Recover bravely, recover through your issue and find what makes you happiest. That is how we recover from a problem to live our lives healthy, productively, and to keep ourselves happy and living a life where we are comfortable within ourselves. I always hear people say you rely on your faith. Similarly to that movie "Eat,Pray,Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert and the movie starring Julia Roberts. I have not seen this movie yet nor have I read the book. But I know this is something I can relate to and any person who goes through any issue small or big. There's a way to recover from something that makes you get back on your feet. I don't know how I got Eat Pray Love but it just popped into my head just now because I believe that is something a person can rely on those three words no matter if you are blocking something out of your mind and heart. Focus on a way to get yourself to the next part of your life. Or to the next phase you need to get to. I hope this has been essential to your life and gives you a little boost because as human beings we go through a lot of things. All the best my blog readers XOXO....your girl, Honey Brown Sugar.
