This has been a long awaited film every movie goer, fan of The Best Man films has been anticipating the arrival of this fall including myself. We have got a couple more months to go but this holiday season director Malcolm Lee and the cast of "The Best Man" ( it debuted October 22, 1999) Taye Diggs (Harper Stewart)"How Stella Got Her Groove Back", "The Wood", "Rent" (Broadway & The Film), Chicago, Private Practice, Equilibrium, Morris Chestnut (Lance Sullivan), "The Brothers" , "The Call", "Boyz In the Hood", Terrence Howard (Quentin aka "Dr. Feelgood") , "Red Tails", "Crash", "Iron Man", "Dead Man Down" " Nia Long (Jordan Armstrong) "Soul Food", "Love Jones", "Big Momma's House 1 & 2", "Too Deep", "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", Monica Calhoun "The Player's Club", "Civil Gang", "Grey's Anatomy", "Everybody Hates Chris", (Mia Morgan-Sullivan), I hyphenated cause remember they did get married her and Lance! =), Regina Hall (Candy) The Wayans Brothers,"The Scary Movie" series, "Death at a Funeral", "Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man", Harold Perrineau (Julian Murch), "Lost", "Oz", "Zero Dark Thirty", and "Seeking Justice", Melissa De Sousa (Shelby), "Thirty Years to Life", "Ride", "Reed Between the Lines", "Miss Congeniality", and last but not least my look alike (people tell me) lol!!!!!, Sanaa Lathan (Robin) "Love & Basketball", "The Wood", "Something New", "AVP: Alien vs. Predator", "Out of Time", "Brown Sugar", she played one of my favorite characters, Sidney, "The Family That Preys", and "Contagion".
They are all back and this time we all get to find out what our beloved characters have been up to for the past 14 years. I personally love Jordan and Harper's story always. They have this undeniable attraction, friendship, and so much respect for one another as friends, and there's a twist of unrequited love. After all of this time we all wonder where would they be now? Would they all still maintain their long friendships, relationships, where are they now in their careers, all of them were very successful. That was one thing I loved was how the positive image of African Americans in their careers was shown. They were all professional and very successful contributing to society. It was perfect timing because a lot of positive films featuring all-star African American casts was on the rise. Now we get a chance to see where they are now. The film even had an excellent soundtrack. I remember cause I played the soundtrack around my house a lot that year! I remember Beyonce being featured on it, Maxwell, The Roots, Ginuwine, Tyrese, R.L, and Case singing "Best Man I Can Be" so many other talented artists. I cannot wait to see who will be featured now, they have a lot to work with now. Also the fashion as well I loved how the costume designers gave each character their own look and personal style. They kept them individual and it reflected who each of them was as well.
(Synopsis)
The cast reunites during the holiday season all joining up to catch up on life, and a lot has changed for all of them. The rest I know will be unleashed and we will see where everyone picks up on. Are you all ready to have some fun this fall! Just because it's going to be the holiday season doesn't mean we still cannot have some fun right. Get ready to laugh cause I know this film is going to have us all laughing hysterically and touches our hearts too.
Now be ready for The Best Man 2: Holiday, this November 15, 2013 Friday
