History often
repeats itself right? But it’s weird when you see it happen 5 times in less
than one year I am talking about how the attention has been given numerous
times to a pop artist who we now know by one name his last name I know in order to keep your name in
the world wide media, newspapers, internet, television, you have to keep pulling
off different antics just to get attention. At the same time why do you want to
destroy your name, the name you have created to be well known, your public
image all over the place, you’re all ready a mega superstar so why go in the
opposite direction. It’s not just
about antics but promotion and It’s not his fault though, I do not blame or pinpoint anyone in Justin Bieber’s camp,
Chris Brown’s team, or anyone else who displayed bad behavior in the past and current
present. Yet at the same time I
get it and I understand why they need to keep themselves relevant. You have to when it comes to this
business, always evolving, changing quickly, fast, trying to keep up with the
joneses, and your competition for the king/prince of Pop/R&B. I get it but at the same time remember
these two started when they were both 16 years old. Remember that age? For some
of you adults, come on let’s be real & honest with ourselves the average
16-year-old in America has made some type of mistake, they have been exposed to
different things that are out of our control whether it be drugs, smoking, weed
or cigarettes, pre-marital sex, experimental drugs, wild parties, and so much
more. Now when you’re in the
entertainment business it goes from being exposed to everything, all of that is
taken to the triple power, and you’re on your own especially when you become
legal because now you’re pretty much making major decisions on your own aside
from managers, parents, record labels, and so forth. See no one pays attention
to that side of the business, how this is really making everyone look, like
wait a minute what is really going on, this is not just a business, and he or
she isn’t a commodity, this is someone’s life, this is a person, and they’re
being corrupted and crying out for help.

I am not saying he cannot make
decisions for himself, I am saying that in last 10 years or so that both of these artist have been out or
were discovered they have changed dramatically. Physically, mentally, and now
they have decided to act out publicly. You didn’t see pop stars in the sixties,
seventies, eighties, and nineties deliberately trying to get caught over and
over. It could happen once, then maybe they would go to rehab or try to improve
themselves. The older great artists, legends, and icons of American pop culture
know better they wouldn’t damage their reputation either. Artists like The
Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Carole King, and Cher, what would
they say they would probably tell him to go back to being who he really is,
before the fame, before the fortune, stick to who you are first, and then you
will be able to reclaim your sanity, your reputation, and you will be back on
top again. Go back to who you were before you started hanging out with the
wrong crowd, we have all been around people who have been bad influences on us
in some form, you go through it in high school and college meeting people who
can spark and change your life. Yet when you’re in the spotlight, with cameras
flashing, people who are aspiring and inspired by you, the pressure is on as
well. Again I am not pinpointing because we have all been there, he’s a
20-year-old young man finding his way. Yet I believe with the support of his
mother, his mentor, his record label, and maybe some personal counseling and
spiritual guidance, he could get back on track. He can also kick things up in high gear and still have a
successful career maintaining his fan base. You don’t have to change yourself to be successful in this
business, what I mean is becoming “a bad boy” in order to gain more
publicity. That isn’t the way you
stay on top, you stick to who you are, and your career will not only sustain
your twenties, it will make you even more successful when he becomes a full
fledge grown man. Think longevity
and sustaining your career not destroying the good-boy image you have. He gives
back, he entertains, he’s talented, and you found a mentor who has sustained
his career for all ready 20 years. I believe if they focus on that a lot of artists will realize
that’s it, that’s how I keep my name for decades, continue performing, continue
a healthy lifestyle, continue on evolving, and expanding your creativity. Not
pulling down your brand and image. It’s about making yourself and continuing
not to look like a fool in public, but keeping yourself even more successful. I
get the whole bad or good press is always acceptable, but when your life is on
the line don’t play with nature or be a fool cause you know you can end up in a
bad situation, we all know what I am talking about, and just don’t go down that
road. Good luck to all of the good, wannabe bad boys, keep it clean trust me,
your career is going to last longer, and so will you.
