Hello my readers I am back! I have missed you all terribly. So now that 2016 is winding down I believe we should end on a positive note. We really all need a film like this now a days something to uplift and inspire us to look to the future these days.Have you ever heard the term La La Land get your head out of "La La Land"meaning get your head out of the clouds. Actually La La Land is real and it's nickname is for Los Angeles, California. La La Land is a place that is being created in this visually stunning film . From the choreography, the costumes, the music, the cheerful optimistic vibe. Is one to put a smile on your face. The film stars "Emma Stone" ("Easy A", "Drunk Punch Love"), "Ryan Gosling" "Drunk Punch Love", "Drive" "The Notebook"), Grammy award winner and American music award winning, John Legend. Ryan is an aspiring jazz musician and Emma plays Mia an aspiring actress. They are both living in modern day California.
One thing I love is how it's a love letter to California I have always wanted to live there actually myself any part. The heart of this film shows the passion theater, music, dance, and acting. You see that these two are definitely triple threats. Ryan is actually in a musical band since 2007. He has been playing in a band called "Dead Man's Bones". So you see he wanted to venture out and show his talents. It showcases touches of old Hollywood classic films. It reminds me of films like " No Business like Show Business" , " Singing in the Rain" . Also dance sequences similar to films like Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire. I haven't seen a musical like this since " Dreamgirls" or "Hairspray " where costumes, music, the script everything in the film is original, unique, and not to be duplicated.
