2012 In Review

It has been an incredible year full of unexpected twists and turns. I am so grateful to know that we as a country are changing and we are heading in a positive direction. The world is changing rapidly and fast. I think I noticed last week when the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut tragedy which took place December 14, 2012 were honored. There was an interfaith memorial with people of all backgrounds shown on national television. Isn't that incredible how we are blending people's faiths and practices in the world. It's a blessing to see that people are coming together. I remember someone said this generation will be the one that is about we....we all coming together. Doesn't that seem to be a common theme for the last decade. We are all coming together uniting as one.  In times of tragedy, in times of difficulties, and times where we are all tested against the human spirit and faith.

This year had some chapters where we had to say good-bye to a lot of people, television programs as well, people who have impacted the world but one thing remains no matter what happens like they say...the world will receive something new, something more powerful and amazing will come along and touch all of our lives again. So we look forward to the future.

I am looking forward to a lot and I cannot wait to see the plans of our country come into action and make major changes, I can't wait to see people receive what they truly deserve. So all in all it has been an incredible year.

Thank you readers for rocking with me this year....and listening to my stories and journey. Stay tuned there is always more to share with you. God bless, Happy Holidays, Stay safe, Be smart always, and most of all love one another and yourselves too...=)

Honey Brown Sugar is heading into a new direction

I am excited...very excited actually because I finally decided to take control of and figure out the way to manage my love and passion for food and then mixing it with my love for staying active, fit, and exercising. I spoke with my doctors, I spoke with the Queen of my heart (my mom), my wonderful stepdad, my dad, they all know how important this is to me. It's not just about man I want to look fit or I want to look good. It's really about keeping the inside healthy and keeping the outside happy too. Sometimes I often forget it's not just about how you look but really how are you feeling inside. Are you being honest with yourself, is there some area of your life that does not feel right. I am learning as a young adult even more how to put everything I used and learned from my health classes in high school, community college, and college. What I learned from my parents, what I all ready know.

So Honey Brown Sugar is on her way into a new direction I feel good about it because I know this is going to take time. It is also about realizing a lot of things that used to motivate me too. That will help pay off. I believe this is a great way to close out the year. After all of the drama, all the situations that happened this year, all of the heartbreak I felt for Mr. Handsome (remember him) he I will probably not see for a long time. I realize now that my life is really starting to take shape. It is falling into place. I am praying that everything will work out. I have set some good goals for myself. I am starting to figure out being honest with yourself too. That's another key to figuring this whole thing out. I am looking forward to 2013 and the future ahead. I feel like I am getting ready to embark on a new journey, a new challenge. I feel great about this now because it makes me happy to know I have people behind me who are supportive and so loving. Deep down I know they don't care how small, big, or whatever size I decide to carry my physical self. All they care about is making sure that I am happy and healthy. So I realize now doing some new things they can be scary sometimes but at times those things can make you just the person you have always wanted to be.

I reflected back...I thought about what used to make me happy, who used to motivate me, inspire me, what will make me want to get to the place I have always wanted to be at as an adult now. So I think doing that is going to challenge me. I also know that it is going to take a lot of time, patience, but I will get there. I am a visual learner I always have been. If I see it I usually will remember it and then I am able to pick something up. So if I can keep my eye on what is healthy, what is good for me I will reach my goal come December 2013. One year....focusing on health, fitness, and success.

My love life I have decided the next person....he has to find me. I am not doing anything from now on...no more contacting, no more anything. Just focusing on my plans and my goals for now. So I feel good about this now. This is what I need for now.

So my beloved readers, let's just say I am going to be handling my business.

Prematurity Awareness Month for Preemies in November

All right there are only 30 days in November right? Right. There's Thanksgiving to celebrate with your loved ones, and so much more to celebrate getting ready to enjoy the holiday seasons and festivities. Now there is one more important thing to me for November I try to honor. Is the fact the babies out there still need your support the little young babies who don't have anyone to speak for them except their parents. You can be their voice, you can raise your voice for them. Donating, Walking, or even just participating for March of Dimes I believe helps. I support them cause some pretty impressive children have been born who were preemies. I am one of them.

I want to say for women, for the little babies, the young doctors, and the professionals you have to honor Prematurity Awareness Month for November. There are babies who born at less than 39 weeks and it occurs. It can happen at any moment any situation can occur due to stress, or any complication of course which can prevented as well. The best way for mothers to give their children the option to make sure they get to their due date which is ideally at 40 weeks (Exactly 9 months) for the babies is to maintain their stress level, stay active, and exercise with your baby. Also make sure to limit alcohol in take, for reducing rates of having a baby with fetal alcohol damage to their very young brains. Limit your seafood intake for mercury reasons, forget caffeine (sorry caffeine lovers I am one too and I was a preemie so I have to do it too one day! that includes sugary drinks i.e. soda, chocolate, coffee, and tea), and keep up the vegetables for them because they will have to love that stuff eventually right. Keep the prenatal vitamins going you can even start early...your baby will need plenty of calcium, folic acid, vitamins A,B,C, D,  E and K all from your nutrients.

The more the mother of the child maintains these habits the healthier the baby will be, in this day and age now lives are so different. We have families of all backgrounds, all races, all economic levels, families of different sexualities, creeds, and beliefs. The most important thing is to make sure before you to drive your baby home is that they can make it into the world safely and healthy. I ask you all to support me as a former preemie (I weighed 2 pounds and 9 ounces) I came at 32 weeks I was born in New York City at Mount Sinai Hospital...now 26 years later I live in New York City now after much relocating and moving around...I am 5 feet 6 inches...my weight I am not a shamed to say is 168 (I am losing weight lol at the moment working on that) and I am healthy, strong, and I make sure that I maintain that. I am not perfect at all. I am sure my readers know that for sure! Lol Honey Brown Sugar is not perfect believe me...but I try my best to be healthy and make sure that I will live a long, healthy, full, meaningful, joyous, and happy life =) (God willing).
So in honor of babies like me, a special baby I heard about named Kenna Moore she was born at 9.9 ounces  she came at 24 weeks on July 10th she came home she's beautiful growing strong now I have seen her all ready online you can follow her on Facebook too, a baby girl who I know who was born to two friends of mine as well who were premature I salute you babies. I want to say to all of you visit the site, support your friends who are having babies, cause they just keep the world spinning that were living in. =)  I encourage all of the mothers and future mothers that if you do have a premature baby...just know one thing she, he, or them will be just grateful that you had them! Also that you gave them a chance to live, breathe, experience life. Most of all giving them a chance to shine, and of course be there to share their time, your time, and love you. Your baby will be healthy and hey they may grow up to write a blog like me too =) LOL! So parents and future parents please make sure you

New Music November Make way for Ne-Yo with "R.E.D"

Ne-Yo which his name means "The One" from Neo of the Matrix film series in the late 1990s. Ne-Yo is back with his fifth titled album, "R.E.D" (Realizing Every Dream) was released on November 06, 2012 (My bday by the way and was a big day). R.E.D is going to put you back to where Ne-Yo made us all swoon over him the first time for the ladies and the men wanted to attempt to sing to their ladies. This album I think is the one that will put him back on the map now and remind people R&B music is still alive, it has just evolved, and is taking us back to where we are talking about something positive, loving, and his music comes from a place where he wants to give women a gift of loving themselves, accepting themselves. It's not just about loving the man he points out in his lyrics but also how the woman carries herself in the relationship too.

"Let Me Love You" (Until You Learn to Love Yourself), "Lazy Love", "Burning Up", and "Cracks in Mr. Perfect" are guaranteed to make you see why he really is a solo artist he knows how to write a song, make you fall in love with the song, and then have you singing it for months and years even.

I am very proud of Ne-Yo because he has taken the chance to develop his label, market new artists, such as Adrienne Bailon with Compound Records. Ne-Yo's new album is guaranteed to remind us that he is not just the man who sings a song on a hook like, "you make me better" feat. Fabolous, or "Love Knocks You Down" feat. Keri Hilson. Ne-Yo is a solo artist because he has a way of connecting with artists who know how to connect with females. He often mentions and contributes that to being raised by a mother and having strong powerful women around him who taught him the value of how treat women.

It reflects in his music all the time every single time he writes a lyric his music will be guaranteed to be played consistently on radio, television, and the internet radio every day.  This is why Ne-Yo has become the one of the R&B scene for the last six years. Make sure you download R.E.D, visit his website at http://www.neyothegentleman.com  for more information on tour dates, concerts, and the latest news.

November is New Music Month...A Keys is "A Girl On Fire"

Alicia Keys is back with "Girl On Fire" she has worked so hard on her album and put major effort into it after "The Element of Freedom" which I loved that album I still need to get it but love all of the songs on it. "Girl On Fire" shows major growth since she her last album it has been three years. Her first single, "New Day"   a lot  has changed and she has grown. Now professionally she has more growth and freedom to pick the material she wants to develop and share with the world.  Alicia has done Broadway with her play "Stick Fly" which she wrote, produced, and composed the music for the play
She is back with the titled track, "Girl On Fire" which has all ready become a number one hit across the world. This anthem is one empowering the multi taskers of all backgrounds to know no matter where you come from and where you are from you can be a girl with true passions and be the person you want to be.
Girl On Fire I am expecting to take us all by storm she always delivers in her albums. I am looking forward to seeing what she will bring to us next.

Alicia is an incredible performer when she puts on a show she knows how to put on a show and entertain the crowd. I have been to a couple of her concerts and I have had the privilege of meeting Keys twice in my lifetime. Alicia is drop dead gorgeous in person, beautiful, humble, the best shoes, and she is the coolest person you will ever meet. Gracious, sweet, and humble she knows how to put on a show and leave you wanting for more.
Make sure you get "Girl On Fire" will be in stores on November 27, 2012 . She also has a new interactive project out called "The Journals of Mama Mae & Lee Lee" which is out for children to play an interactive game and also improving their reading skills.  You go on an adventure with Mama Mae and Lee Lee where you are able to go to a new place with her Keys has described in interviews. She wants to show that children can escape even with technology and still have fun. So is there anything Ms. Keys cannot do...I guess we have to stay tuned.

Keyshia Cole back with "Woman to Woman"

From the moment she appeared on television, Keyshia Cole has opened doors for all of the young R&B female songstresses and songwriters,  Grammy nominated artist, the glam diva on the rise is back with her fourth titled album, "Woman to Woman" Cole has all ready proven she is a veteran. I remember when she came out with "I should've cheated", "I just want it to be over", "I changed my mind", she stole our hearts. Now she's back with a whole new look, new attitude, you see nothing but growth and she's going into a new direction.

Cole is opening up to the ladies and talking to us from a woman's perspective on all of it. She's getting real and giving you some real girl talk with her lyrics. She opens up on "Enough of No Love" featuring Lil'Wayne, "Trust and Believe", "Woman to Woman" featuring Ashanti who she co-wrote the song with as well.  Keyshia's vocal ability thus far on her new album has this amazing way of connecting to women on a level where she may be in love but she can sing the hell out of a song about heartbreak and pain. Her lyrics can connect with any woman from all walks of life.

Cole is also back not only with a brand new album but also a new reality television show called "Keyshia and Daniel Family First" featured on BET along with her husband and son, DJ. She has matured and life has changed since the last time we have seen her on her first reality show. Cole has blossomed and you see the love showing between her and her family now. Everyone has changed and they are all heading in new positive directions. Now with Woman to Woman it reflects in her music she has always been able to relate to people on a level even if you're an older person you can connect with Cole's soul and she reaches her fan base.

She reminds me so much of Mary J. Blige sometimes when I see her on stage performing, when she is singing a song you see the influences of all the great R&B divas in her music. Keyshia is another one I would love to see go on tour in the future and I hope who will crossover in her field as well.  Woman to Woman will be released for the gorgeous, talented, and the survivor ", Keyshia Cole's album will be released on November 19, 2012. Her new show comes on Tuesdays at 10p.m. EST.

Brandy is Back and Number One with "Two-Eleven"

Brandy's Two-Eleven Album Cover Art Work It is in Stores now!

Second Single "Wildest Dreams" by Brandy
Brandy Rayana Norwood ,33 recording artist, producer, songwriter, actress, current star on "The Game", mother, former star of "Family Business" and now can add again to her resume number one album, "Two Eleven". They say timing is everything and now Brandy is back again with her fifth album she named the album after one her birthday, and also the date ironically was the day that her hero and the late, great Whitney Houston tragically passed as well. So she honored her in a way.

Two Eleven has the popular, "Wildest Dreams" and "Put It Down" (Remixes) featuring Chris Brown and Missy Elliot. Brandy has recently become number one on the Billboard Award charts. She has bounced back and is ready to reclaim her role very soon as "Chardonnay" on "The Game". Two Eleven is Brandy's new hit since she last released her album, Human was released in France in 2008 and then internationally in 2009 and one of my favorites, Afrodisiac in 2004. Now with "Two Eleven" her image has changed again, the music is more soulful, more inspirational, poppy, and you can tell at this point she is truly on fire.

I would love to see Brandy go on tour in the future and doing a world tour in the near future. I know she has a lot more to offer to her fans in the future. There is a lot I can see her doing mentoring on some of these shows like "X Factor" and "American Idol". More advertisements and endorsements as well. So for Brandy this a great time for her to make a stronger come back with her U.S. and International fan base. I have been a fan probably since her first album and I am pretty familiar with her and I can tell you her doing an international tour would make her even more successful in the future. Maybe 2013 or 2014 we'll see. But I guarantee "Two-Eleven" you need to pick up immediately. Visit her website at

Now seeing keeps reminding me there is still so much more to do now in the future. It makes me really want to add a huge family addition in the near future. Mostly cause I think being around my family, really spending time with them gave me a new perspective of everything. It made me see you have to keep on...keep pushing to get what you need or your purpose.

I believe in Black Girls Rock's mission to give young girls, teenagers, young women, and older women the chance to develop and become positive motivating role models, classy individuals, educated, well-rounded individuals. "Life of A Phonebanker & Canvasser during Obama campaign"

I have been part of the campaign for a while and doing some phonebanking. To be honest with you...they say God often gives you things to challenge yourself. So you can get better and you are able to make a difference. I believe and I know he was with me the day I signed up to be apart of the campaign he used my grandmother and mom to guide me (=) love them for doing this) and he guided me to challenge myself (it sounds silly but I believe this really did change me). I did phonebanking for the 2008 campaign but this time I was in Washington,D.C.. I was looking for a new job during the summer what I ended up finding was far more than I imagined. I left home during the summer and  I ended up at the right time and place actually from August 6, 2012 to October 23, 2012. I believe I became a phonebanker in September of 2012. I returned back home a couple weeks ago but it I knew I wanted to continue on it has been an excellent experience.

I learned how to really communicate even better with people, listening to the residents of Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Ohio, New York, and all over have challenged me to realize and see that you have to really connect with people. Some may be discouraged to tell you their political beliefs, some are proud to share their political beliefs, and others go above and beyond donating their time and money to be apart of the campaign for Obama and Romney. I believe and appalud the young people I have met and will meet very soon who have been amazing giving their efforts and really just taking time out of their busy, hectic, and young lives to be involved. That shows  a lot you can choose to do other things or even work from home but those who made the move to put themselves out there is amazing. I learned about two websites that I will use in the future too. http://www.gottaregister.com and
http://www.gotv.com

It was not easy for me at all but I knew in my heart that I had to do this because it would challenge me. It would give me a chance to make myself stronger, more informed, more prepared to vote, It's been 4 years since I first voted and a lot has changed, this opportunity made me better prepared for the future. You talk to people with funny southern accents, some are parents working hard, some have children fighting over seas, some are young in their twenties just starting out, others are retirees sitting at home. When you visit these homes as a canvasser you are challenged to come and let these people open up their lives and who they are to you. It's an amazing gift actually that they confide their trust in you. Despite what their political beliefs are they are open to discussing what they believe in to you.

Vote for who you want on Tuesday, November 06, 2012 at your local polls for those who can vote early please do so!

Now being a phonebanker is fun you are either given a Dial A Caller which is a new technology and you can use your cell phone or a land line phone to call out voters telling you if they are undecided, Pro-Obama or Pro-Romney. You can also do tally sheets and you can add up how many callers you have made to each and every individual. It is a great gift and it challenged me definitely. I have been to debate parties, I have walked around and it has been a great feeling. I have met new people to add onto in my life, and who I can call new friends. It's been a great experience enriching my life personally.  I am excited for the results. My team Ward 6, New York for Obama, and the OFA Harlem team I will support and will be proud to be apart of as well. So let the games begin next week. I give a special shout out to Tiernan O'Reilly, Jasmine Jones, David Culp, Mike Bowling, Jenny,  and the Democratic National Committee office, workers, staff, and security who were very nice to me =)

Hurricane Sandy attacks The East Coast and Raises Questions

Hurricane Sandy coming in 4 days ago to the east coast (aerial image) October 28, 2012
We just lived through our second hurricane since last year. Hurricane Sandy swept through the tri-state and she came through blazing causing mass destruction from October 29-October 31, 2012. She swept through damaging homes along the beach areas of Long Island, New York, swept through Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Point Pleasant, New Jersey beach areas, Hoboken, New Jersey, all the way up north to Connecticut.
Hurricane Sandy has left many homeless, electric powerless, and also without their family members. People have not survived this catastrophe at all with close to 89 deaths and counting of people have been reported here in New York City and New York state, New Jersey, and Connecticut who are still be found. Some say it is reminiscent of Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Irene, and even others that have swept through the east coast in the past. Now with Hurricane Sandy many people have been frustrated (including myself) not being able to take any of the transit systems,  causing inconvenient routes for many passengers, not being able to even drive alone. Now many are carpooling where you have to bring more than one passenger into and across the bridges of the location where you need to get to.

Hurricane Sandy caused a ghost town affect where there were many left to sit in the dark using candles and flashlights for lighting to see for themselves, light had to be substituted, and many people have had to look around for ways to sustain light. Some say it will be days or weeks for them to turn their light back on. This storm has taught many of us a great lesson--don't take anything for granted ever, make sure you continue to be reminded of how important and special every individual is who takes their time out to make your life easier and better.

It also makes you see how people can come together to help each other now, their is a need I should say for human stability supply (HSS)- Emotionally-support, love, be positive to each other cause you never know when you need someone, Mentally-keep busy the best way you can to keep your mind going, Physically-stay busy try not to consume too much food keep your exercise going that will help you too, Play games with each other and stay engaged, and Spiritually-Laugh because life will get better, Now as far as Resources for all of us as humans-Clothing we need clothes to live and to survive out here no matter what your occupational field and background is people need clothes, Also medically if you can donate blood to the red cross. If you don't know your blood type you can ask your doctor or an assistant with the red cross can help you too.

Hurricane Sandy'12 has been an incredible experience to witness and see she came in with  90 mile per hour winds and she caused mass destruction, now there is major clean up to be done and there are many people who still need your help.

The scientific part of Sandy will be researched and discovered heavily geologists, seismologists, and so many people will find a way to find out how we can prevent the next hurricane and natural disasters of our time. People say the cause can be global warming which is something we have all discovered for a long period of time. We have received so many warnings about global warming contributing to our unusually warm fall/autumn seasons, our crazy and high and hot summers.  So now with all of this happening at this time and period. It makes you wonder was God just preparing us for the next big chapter of American's lives. Was he preparing us all for who will take the term for the 2013-2016 presidential term? Was he preparing us to see who we need as a leader as well. It makes you wonder all the time are we still prepared and ready as a country? It seems like there is still a lot of work to be done.

Do what you want to now

I was just reading a article that hit home for me immediately. It was like someone took a look inside my soul for a while and knew exactly how I was feeling at that moment. When you have been through a lot of things personally and you haven't had a chance to really get it out. That does affect how you are going to feel inside. I am usually good...but lately no I haven't felt that way just yet. I guess because one when you go through something someone told me. You really have to go through it completely....physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It's all connected they say the mind and body are truly connected yes....as well as what really goes on inside your heart too. So that does play a role.
I saw this article with the beautiful actress, Gabrielle Union discussing some important messages you need to talk about when you're young and chasing your dream. It hit home cause on one hand....you cannot always listen to the people sometimes in your inner circle, you cannot always listen to the naysayers, forget them. Do what's in your heart, what plan you have in mind now....forget about what everyone else wants. Do what will make you truly happy.

Part of me writing has been great cause I get a chance to do that....sometimes I feel like I am living a fake life....like on one hand I am living yes....but am I doing what I really want to do am I wearing or looking how I want to look? I didn't expect my life to be like this....I thought I would have had everything figured out by now....but now I am like...maybe too many influences have been on me. I need to do what's right for me too.
I am going to get there....I know it I am going to take that advice Ms. Union said and just go for it then. Take a chance do what's going to make you happy and excited. It's funny I felt happier 6 months ago then I did now but maybe that's because a lot has changed. But now I realize do what is going to get you to the next step you want to be at now. I know I have to soon....time is ticking, I can't wait around anymore....these 26 years have been very good to me. So I am going to take some of my own advice, be patient, take relationships slower this time, invest time, if you really want something you will work for it, and if I really want to be happy, peace of mind, and the life I have dreamed about since I was a girl....then damn it I will work for it....cause this isn't it right now...going from job to job...no....I just wanted to chase my dream.

Fall 2012 line up "Revenge", Nashville, and 666 Park Avenue the television show

We are blessed when we can find a great television show to watch to keep us entertained and inspired there are often several television series that have come into my life where I have found a need to always just get invested and commit my time to the show. You know the shows I am talking about the shows that have some how become apart of your life every Sunday night when you just cannot miss it even if the  NFL Superbowl,  Baseball world series, or the basketball season championship game is coming on. It's like no matter what you need to watch and see this show. I have had several of those in my life now I am glad to say that have become apart of my journey, influenced my life, my personality, and even my friendships and relationships too. "Sex and The City", "Desperate Housewives" and "The Hills". Now that these shows have ran their course, the stars of each show have become more successful, their characters have each touched our hearts and made us laugh. They say good-bye to us in beautiful long 1 or 2 hour episodes as if we say good-bye to our best friends.

Then suddenly a genius television network like ABC, a genius producer, a gifted director, and talented television series writer, a gorgeous cast is in the making, and then all of the stars align and then you have three new television series that appear before you on the network. This season for fall 2012, is Revenge, the television series starring the beautiful Emily Van Camp, she played Rebecca on one of my other favorite shows, "Brothers & Sisters". She has returned now as a powerful, butt-kicking, tough, fearless, but with supermodel looks as "Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke". I love the show there's something about her that reminds me a bit of another character who I adore in literature, Lisbeth Salander, from "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series. Yet Emily Thorne and the cast of Revenge are set in the proper, beautiful, beachy, upper-class location of the Southhamptons in New York. Emily of course we know is planning to avenge her father, David Clarke's murder and go against the Graysons as well. I am so excited to see this show blossom, grow, and continue to be even more full of surprises. The cast is gorgeous, witty, talented, and the show is very dramatic. You can catch Revenge on your television series or online at http://www.abc.com and Sunday nights at 9p.m. EST and check your local listings.

The next television series that has all ready taken us by storm is Nashville, is about a young singing starlet and a singer all ready in her prime trying to reclaim and take the throne of the music game. I all ready love the show it has a bit of parody to it. I guess for me I can see how they emulate and show how the music industry works. It all works the same even if the genre is different. I have to commend, Hayden Panettiere who has all ready showcased her singing and acting chops. Extremely talented. I am looking forward to this series every Wednesday  at 10p.m. now that makes you want to stay hooked. The cast is great and gorgeous and they have made me turn into a bit of a country fan now. So yee-haw and watch Nashville cause you get to learn about the city that really found some of most greatest talented country musicians.

The last show is the supernatural, twists, and turns of "666 Park Avenue" which have showed former casts who have made their debut on ABC and this high society, expensive apartment which has showed off the cast in a haunted apartment that has some dark skeletons and secrets of its own. The cast is     Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters), Robert Buckley, Mercedes Masohn, Erik Palladino, Helena Matsson, Samantha Logan, and the beautiful, lovely, Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty)
and Terry Quinn. The costumes are stylish and modern and I love the story line which gets better every week.  Catch 666 Park Avenue on WABC at 10p.m. and check your local listings.

So now ABC has some serious hits on their hands and competition so now we have three other shows to add to our busy Sunday nights we should not miss. Grab your popcorn and a glass of your favorite drink cause your in for one hot spicy night this fall and winter with these series!

The cast of "Revenge" Make sure you tune in and watch Sunday nights on ABC.

Nicki Minaj strikes again with Pink Friday but the Fragrance

I love beauty and fragrances I even wanted to start my own fragrance called, Charisma so I support any young person who comes out with one. Just so happened one of my new favorite artists, Nicki Minaj debuted one...now she's competing against other artists and musicians I respect now.
I am a Nicki Minaj fan she's intelligent, business-savvy, eccentric, fearless,   I as a new fan along with all of the other "Barbz" she affectionately calls her fans. Nicki has come back not only with the Roman Reloaded Album but now she is expanding her brand with her very own fragrance, Pink Friday. How will she compete against now with the other R&B songstresses, Pop musicians, and all of the young  business entrepreneurs who have taken the chance to expand their fashion lines with clothes, fragrances, shoes, and memorabilia. She has this fierce, go-getter personality of course that will help boost sales.

She works hard and she has an opportunity to do something now that will change the face of Rap and Hip Hop music. There has never been a female rap artist who was in their twenties who came out with a female fragrance for her contemporaries. She has a great brand and image that can take her beyond just music. She can possibly have her own barbie doll, her own clothing line, and even a cartoon show just to expose her brand even further.

Roman Reloaded 2012 Release
Now what will Nicki do to make her even more well known. Who knows but for one thing we better stay tuned cause this native New Yorker, Trinidadian born triple threat may just surprise all of us now.

Her image and music has crossover to people of all ages. ethnic backgrounds, and walks of life. She has become an international artist all in the matter of less than 5 years.

She can easily relate to every single audience, females, males, low class to upper class, so now how does the Princess of Hip Hop carry on and expand her brand even further.
