Superbowl 50 Halftime show featuring Coldplay

I am so excited for this year’s 50th super bowl . I have been watching the halftime shows since I was a kid but for the last maybe 8 or 9 years the shows have had some of my favorite celebrities performing and this will be no different. I am a big fan of Coldplay they are on my ipod actually. Early mornings I listen to “Clocks” when I am sitting reading my book or newspapers and listening to my ipod on my way to work every morning. I listen to a variety of music on my playlist and the radio still too.  (I am a radio kid grew up around it always). So I multitask on the train also paying attention to look out for my next topic. I haven’t had a chance to buy their last couple of albums which include some songs I have become a fan of over the years too.

So who is Coldplay it consists of front man, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, John Buckland, and Will Champion. The group first started

in 1996 they were first found all together. They earned their first Grammy in 2000 for best Alternative Rock band, A British Award, an award for Indie Rock, and won Mastercard album of the year. They have seven albums, 40 singles underneath their belt.

So I am sure their halftime show will include some of your favorite hit songs and mine as well this year. I know they will include some surprise guests as well. I don’t want to say anything too much this year cause you all have to watch for yourselves. One thing I will say this February we are in for it definitely. Between the game, the Oscars, the Grammys, there will be so much going on I know I always have to be on my game when it comes to this time cause there’s so much happening all at once. So I will say this to all of you and you know who you are performing I hope you bring it for the 50^th anniversary for the Superbowl. There will be millions watching and we’re all so excited that they chose a group everyone can kind of relate and listen to their music as well.  So I am sure we are all in for a great time. Their music is moving, conscientious, fun filled, and makes you want to dance, you’re transported to another world when you hear some of the instruments used, the violins, the flutes, the piano, and other strings are featured in their music. They have a way of making a bold meaningful statement in all of their music. I love “Viva La Vida”, “Paradise”, and their new song, “Adventure of a Lifetime” which is from their 2015 “Head full of dreams” album.  Great title actually the title is perfect symbolizing dreams their intangible until we put them into reality. In our minds their beautiful, exotic, fun, ethereal, and like a kaleidoscope they change quickly looking for deeper meaning. Their music reminds me a lot of Beatles something they would have created if it was 1966 vs 2016 right now. They have a way of capturing every human emotion and element in their music that’s a gift. That’s hard to do for any artist. So congratulations to Coldplay we’ll be watching you soon.

10.   Making a photo album of all the places you have been together, or taking a journey back into the past how about show them where you had your first kiss, show them where you played basketball, keep it about the two of you and that will be a memorable, loving, and fun time for the two of you.

I started wearing and experimenting with makeup vividly remember actually trying MAC cosmetics for the first time I was about 15 when I started wearing them. Yep I am a millennial and proud...but how are millennials as parents?

How will the "Selfie" obsessed, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter conscious twenty and thirty-somethings be as parents? I believe we may supersede expectations of past generations before us and will continue to do so if we stick to our traditions and values.  I believe we will surpass their expectations. Some of their perceptions are we may raise children who will be overconfident, condescending, rude, or impolite. A lot of Millennials actually grew up in households with parents who had traditional core values and believed in strong family values as well. Some of the generations before us believe that we are spoiled, entitled, yet we struggled especially during the mid part of the 2000s when our economy suffered greatly. One thing I love my generation and am proud to be a part of it. I feel like I am part of something so much bigger actually. I am so proud I witnessed the beginning of social media to be directly apart of it and witness the beginning of Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and see how just so many companies, celebrities, and so many people have evolved all through millennials.

We have upgraded our parents, our grandparents. We can reach them instantaneously now as well. So I wonder how will we be now as parents? I have about seven girl friends who I grew up with as a child who have now become parents. I have been an aunt myself since I was seven years old my older brother has 3 children two boys and one girl ages 22, 17, and 15. I also have two stepbrothers who are 27 and 19. I grew up around my younger stepbrother. I learned quickly how raising a boy is so much different than raising a girl.

 I was pretty young yes I know but it allowed me to grow up very quickly and learn things about life even faster. I often wonder how will I be to my own children. How will I treat, raise, talk, and interact with my own children. Will I be able to give them what was been given to me and double that. Can I raise a sane, smart, thoughtful, loving, level –headed, and kind human being? It takes trial and error I believe as well. Your children have to learn right from wrong as well before they acknowledge what is the proper way to conduct themselves in society and around different types of people of all backgrounds. I believe our children will be even smarter, wiser, and fast paced than us. So you know what that means we have to be patient, more mentally sharp, and have a lot of stamina to keep up with our children even more. Our society changes a lot so I believe for us to interact, communicate, and stay “cool and hip” we have to internalize all of the tech-savviness and knowledge as much as possible. I think if we continue on that path, dig down to old traditional values of teaching our children respect, know that I am your mother….not your friend. I am you father not your friend. I am not saying you cannot be a friend to your child but I am saying you have to set the foundation you will respect me, my household, obey, and honor me as well. I mean showing appreciation, showing affection, showing that you actually care as well.

 

You also wonder how will I raise my child can I buy a home, can a buy a house for my child or children and support them. Will I be able to give them a decent education and start a college fund for them as well. For me, my friends, my relatives it does put a lot into perspective. I believe things will work themselves all out. It’s just a matter of also realizing it’s no longer about “me, me, and me…it’s about you and your family too”. It’s about raising a child, prioritizing your life to make sure both your and your child(ren’s) needs are met.

You know who they are the “Dark Knight”, the black muscle chiseled abs in his black cape, the dark crusader who flies through the Gotham City dark skies. He speeds down the street in his bat mobile. Some of you know and have grown up with him to know him as Bruce Wayne. Others known him as a hero and fighter going against villains like “Poison Ivy”, “The Penguin, The Riddler, “Two Faced”. He goes against all of these different characters and at the end of the day once again saves the day. He gives hope to many of his fans who are inspired by him and they admire him for his courage, bravery, and see him as a hero.  He always gets the girl and can live to fight another day too.

                The next hero is from the planet of Krypton and he has a blue suit with a red “S” on his chest. He flies faster than a 747 jet through the sky to rescue and save the people down below on planet Earth. He gives people hope and he has a strong determination. He has two jobs by day he is news reporter, Clark Kent and by night he is “Superman”. This summer get ready for the two superheroes who have defined generations for years. People dress up as them during Halloween, at festivals, comic con, birthdays, and many celebrations. You will see your favorite superheroes a long with the whole cast from the Marvel Comic strip go against their enemies in the film for Dawn of Justice. It is guaranteed to make you want to go and even watch on IMAX or even 3-D. Stay tuned and get ready on March 25, 2016-Friday for the next chapter of this saga.

Hello my loves!!!!!! Happy New Year 2016...
Oh my goodness I have so much to discuss with all of you this year. This is going to be another big year for me, my loved ones and friends. I am really excited this year to share my journey, the big hot news stories, the fashion trends, and everything with you all. I am all ready I am picking up where I left off but some things are different in Honey Brown Sugar's world....I am working two jobs yes I am some of you know I work at Lord & Taylor but I also have second job at Bob's Discount Furniture. I have met some amazing people who I know have been placed in my life for all wonderful reasons. I just can disclose those with you just yet because I am still learning myself. Honey Brown Sugar is dating yes I am and some new chapters are being opened. Have a new gentlemen to discuss with you so I will keep you posted on that soon. We will see what happens I am going to keep you updated. I have a lot going on and cannot wait to share so much with you in the future.

So this 2016...what can we expect...well you should know it's the year of the Monkey, the new pantone color for fashion is Rose Quartz and Serenity. Two beautiful pastel colors that can paired with corals, mint greens, and will take off in the spring 2016/summer 2016 collection this year. Also some of the biggest movies we have all been waiting for will hit the screens. I am looking forward to a lot and believe me your girl is ready. I am going to be eating plenty of spinach, protein, and working out to stay on point this year for you guys. Cause this is genuinely what I love to do. It's all for you!
