Radiant in her Red Rose dress ready to capture her prince. Rachel Lindsay first African American Bachelorette

Very excited this spring and summer for the Bachelorette season....This is historic for African American women. It’s an amazing time for women period right now they are stepping up and showing that yes we can have it all including a great healthy, satisfying, and loving relationship too. I am very proud that ABC networks the producers have chosen to give Rachel Lindsay from the Bachelorette a chance to shine and find love among all of the others for the past 24 seasons on “The Bachelor”, “The Bachelorette”, and their spin off series, “Bachelor in Paradise” a chance to find love and relationships.
Why is this important why does this matter I think for African American women there’s a stigma when it comes to relationships and marriage now a days. Many women have found themselves in single relationships, raising children on their own, some divorce, and some in blended families of children from previous relationships. Now for an African American as a lead it is historic you want them to be shown in a positive light. You want viewers of all ages to show that they can find healthy relationships. That we are human beings and people with feelings, emotions, we have crazy, funny, relationships with our families and friends. We deal with the same every day problems and similarities that all people deal with every single day.

It’s important for all minorities within our country Hispanics, Asians, from all walks of life from each continent to see someone represented on the television show that’s important because they want to feel that they can relate to the person. Especially if it is someone from their hometown, the same state, country, neighborhood, their the same age as the person. (Just so happens Rachel and I are the same age born the same year too). See my point--viewers want that connection when watching. It's real and realtable to the people all around watching. The Bachelor Nation are very loyal fans and they tune in all around and have watch parties they cannot get enough. So that's important more than just producing a good television show and ratings. They need to feel that connection with the person while they are engaged and involved with the show. I love the show because it shows you this is a real process this isn’t something really that easy, it’s not that simple to show reality television without simply experiencing a few bumps in the road.  I love how on Rachel’s season she was on Nick Viali’s season where he even struggled to find his perfect match. One thing we know on this show none of these people are perfect. Not at all they are real hardworking Americans who come from a wide  range of careers and backgrounds from fertility specialists, district attorneys, lawyers, actresses, models, teachers, firefighters, doctors, dentists, sergeants, and lieutenants

Season premiere May 22nd 2017

who have served our country and I am just talking about some of the women on the show. So it’s been pretty impressive don’t sleep on these women or think they are just some beautiful talking heads. No they are actual women with good hearts, raised by hard working lower, middle,  and upper class families who have made each of their children something amazing. It just so happens that their children are looking for love on reality television with over 200 million or so watching around the country.
Rachel is actually an insurance lawyer at the moment and she attended Marquette University Law and the University of Texas in Austin, Texas studying for a judicial degree. She is currently an associate at Cooper and Scully PC in Dallas, Texas. So watch out she has class, beauty, intelligence, savvy, loves a good laugh, and witty these boys better watch out.
So that’s what I love about the show this show gives every woman and man who participates major opportunities this is not just for exposure, love, and competition. ABC gives these women a chance to see themselves, they grow and challenge themselves, they learn what they can do better in their own relationships and what they can do to make their relationships healthier, more positive, and more. I love how they get to travel as well because many people don’t get a chance to see the world and all of the many different parts of it. There’s so much to see believe me and I think that’s the one thing people don’t realize. There are so many perks to being a Bachelor and Bachelorette the whole package is of course about love but it’s also a huge chance to really put yourself literally out to the world. I am looking forward to seeing Rachel’s season, her opportunity to find her husband, may the season bring some beautiful, romantic, fun, and hilarious moments. So stay tuned May 22nd, 2017 is the newest season of the Bachelorette.  I am very proud of ABC Network and that they chose her as the woman to represent American women this season.  You know I always include music to set the mood for you all this spring and summer here's one popular summer hit "That's what I like" by Bruno Mars and "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran hopefully Rachel will play this at her wedding soon. Good luck everyone!!!
