I was waking up from a busy week and relaxing on a Friday morning April 10th when the news broke on You Tube that two of the R&B genres biggest artists, close friends they’re like big and little brothers, people call them Michael Jackson or Prince’s protégés because of their incredible artistry, dance moves, their contributions to music as an artists. Usher Raymond, and Chris Brown would be going on tour again this year in 2026.
I want to contribute and mention the website R&B Privilege for leaking and uploading the early promotional clips for this tour. The tour dates were not even released yet. It was still early and dates were not even set when the news broke and went global online, in the media, and radio airwaves.
Women and men in the comments were losing their minds because of the announcement and ticket prices.
These are two of the top selling R&B artists of the last three decades. Usher Raymond the Fourth (born on October 14, 1978 in Dallas, Texas) who started performing as a child was discovered around age 14. Usher made his debut in 1994 with a self-titled album. Has gone on to sell multi-platinum hits with 9 albums under his belt but numerous collaborations, acting under his belt, and more. Discovered by Babyface and LA Reid then later collaborating with Jermaine Dupri, Sean “Puff Daddy/P.Diddy” Combs, , and many others over a 30 plus year period.
Wondering how they were going to find a way to see the show and be able to pay for everything. Some joking you may have to give an organ donation, put a mortgage up just to buy some of these tickets. Luckily with other ticket website providers people are able to economize, and set a budget aside for these tickets. People have been creating videos and content online about the concert making jokes about the women and men who want to pay money for the tickets.
So who are these “hot boys”? For some of you who have had a “Rip Van Winkle” moment and you just woke up.

We know in 2024 he had an amazing year with the Superbowl halftime show breaking records with a 15-minute performance combining all of his hits, then going on tour, and getting married all within a few days back to back. Usher has discipline, stamina, drive, creativity for days, and knows how to still keeps all of his fans attention. His team was genius to agree to having a tour with another one of his peers, and "his little brother" in music family, Chris Brown. So who is Chris Brown for some you who may not be an R&B, Dance, Pop or movie fan. This is why I created this blog to educate and for people to get a snapshot of the hottest artists, tv, film, and music projects. So this next singer when you see and focus on his talent he's one who has had an amazing career.

was discovered by Tina Davis when he was 13 years old when Tina was scouting musical talent and just happened to stumble upon Chris and arranged for a demo with first Def Jam records who signed and launched his career first. One thing I admire and respect about both of these “hot boys” yes they both are very handsome, extremely talented, and humbled. They have learned acceptance, they have maintained a gratitude in their careers, personally, and professionally.

They have also learned perseverance Usher and Chris both know the value of an education. Usher and Chris started so young in their music and entertainment careers. They were like most child and teen stars being tutored on set, tutored at home, home schooling, and tried to maintain that normalcy of a proper education. They both allowed their calling and their gifts to be their guide. They stayed focused not straying away from abilities and what they can bring to the table.
I believe at times as people we can often let our gifts go unnoticed or become overshadowed. If we listen and honor our calling from God as one of my inspiration, Oprah Winfrey said it will take us further in life and that is the thing we are supposed to do. Both of these men despite setbacks, challenges, achievements, success, personal, or business changes. They continue rising up to the challenge with major focus.
Now they are coming together on a joint together. In 2023 and 2025 Usher received honorary degrees from Emory University and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Chris just received his honorary degree on May 23, 2026 after the birth of his youngest child, Arrow, and celebrating his 37th birthday he received it in visual and performing arts in music, arts, painting, and visual performance. He’s having a great start to this new chapter.
The mashing of these two artists is memorable, epic, and historical. This takes R&B music to another level. It allows artists to continue their music contributions, and they are making sure it will be sustained for generations to come. 30 years for Usher and 20 plus years for Chris says a lot to the music industry, marketing, and entertainment industries. R&B is here to stay I know we may have gone through a slight slump when you have a 70-year plus industry that has been around on a mainstream level. Music has been around for centuries but when you factor in branding, marketing, the types of music people connect with over generations. It plays a difference because you want to see what they can relate to and identify with at that time.
The music industry does well when you have genuine artists who are hungry, passionate, have been paying attention, and know what they want to bring to the stage and microphone. I think that’s the biggest difference it’s one thing if someone wants to emulate an artist, or try to copy that artist. It’s different when a person knows who they are to begin with and they want to strive to bring the best in the studio, on film, television, and more.
The two men featured in this post they were influenced by: James Brown, Babyface, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, hip-hop artists, their peers, and more. They initially loved dancing at first I think singing for both of them fell in their laps.
They were singing to girls and then it went from singing in the cafeteria at school when they were youngsters.
When they reach live performing status, touring across countries, they are singing to 70,000 fans or more at larger events and arenas. It all begins somewhere so it makes perfect sense that they would ease into it now. Now they are giving the fans what they want and have been waiting for years. I would see online fans curating fake competitions and Versus You Tube pages and videos trying to get the attention to create a real one. Now they are making it actually happen. This is why its so important for R&B music, pop music, and the music artistry in general. It goes to show you the true testament of hardworking artists.
