Nicki Minaj will receive the 2022 MTV Video Music Vanguard Award this year at the MTV VMAs!

Congratulations to multiplatinum international artist,  Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty aka "Nicki Minaj" is the 2022 Video Vanguard MTV recipient this year. 

 

 

 

 Nicki Minaj arrived on the scene in 2007 when fellow hip-hop artist, producer, and Young Money founder/owner, Dwayne Michael “Lil Wayne” Carter, Jr. discovered her and she became the first lady of Young Money Records. Nicki released mixtapes during this time period but it was her first appearance with Ludacris on “My Chick Bad” in 2009 which caught MTV’s attention and her billions of fans worldwide.
