Book becomes television series hit, "Daisy Jones and The Six" debuts March 3, 2023
The show debuts tomorrow March 3, 2023
The book adaptation becomes the television Amazon Prime Video series
Daisy Jones a redhead with freckles, big blue eyes, and a dynamic energy that touches audiences when she performs with her band “The Six” in the early 1970s transforms pop and rock & roll. She has the presence energy of Carly Simon, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, and Jimi Hendrix. She knows how to grab your attention on the stage with her voice, her songs she writes with her band, and her infectious energy. You would think Daisy was a real-life artist and would want her to be real. Well actually Daisy is all fictional and was created from the creative genius, Taylor Jenkins Reid a New York Times best-selling author who wrote, “Forever Interrupted”, “Malibu Rising”, “Maybe in Another Life”, “One True Loves” which is scheduled to become a film this April 2023, “The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo”, and “Evidence of the Affair”. Reid has a way of writing that makes you connect to her characters, you see traces of real people in her characters, or maybe inspiration from her own real life. “
Daisy Jones and the Six” is no different and has a way of getting into your spirit and soul.
I read the book cover to cover in 2021 when it first came out and I was hooked I knew when I heard Reese Witherspoon was going to team up with production for the television version of the book I knew this is going to be epic. I love stories intertwined with music and one story that people can identify with too. This is a period piece, also relatable for those who grew up in the 1960s, 1970s, and 80s they can relate to the music, the fashion, time period, and all of the special events many all remember and will relive too. The characters are rich, they feel like real people, and you may even see a lot of references from actual timeless musicians we love and can spot right away. The cast has some newcomers and familiar faces when I saw the lead character who was casted.
I thought this is too insane and genius that they would pick Riley Keough(“Zola”, “The Girlfriend Experience”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “The Lodge”, and “The Terminal List”) who is the granddaughter, of the original “King of Pop & Rock & Roll” of the 1950s,60s, and 70s, Elvis Presley and daughter, of the late Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023). So this role I feel was destined truly for her to play because of her rich history, knowledge of music. Also, because she looks just like Daisy on the art illustration book cover, it was just a no brainer she would be perfect for this role. The fans I think really are going to appreciate this story because you want something that hits you, comforts you, and inspires you as a creative. The stars definitely aligned with the knockout story.
Along with the lead, Keough her supporting cast to play her band members, friends, songwriters, producers, agents, and love interests include Sam Clafin (“Me Before You”, “Love Rosie”, “Enola Holmes”, “Adrift”, and “Pirates of the Caribbean”) as Billy Dunne, Suki Waterhouse (“The Bad Batch, “Persu
