I love this movie, I know you all love this movie too for my urban people, my 90s kids and teens who grew up with this movie. I just wanted to do something cause I know the 20th anniversary is coming up and this is one of those films that will always be an urban classic. It even has a great soundtrack as well featuring some of the most popular artist of our generation now. The soundtrack included Usher, TLC, Jodeci and so many more people. The movie we all know is about a young beautician named, Justice who goes on a journey across town with her best friend Iesha and her boyfriend, Chicago who is also friend's with Lucky, a UPS mail carrier who runs into Justice while she is working at her hair salon in the dangerous streets of South Central. The story is full of pain, a twist of fate, love, joy, but also hard lessons of life from each character within the film show true survival though each of their stories. Make sure you watch the film and always enjoy. You know there is a song that has been blowing up the airwaves playing Kendrick Lamar featuring Drake's "Poetic Justice" with the Janet Jackson sample of "Anytime Anyplace" playing. The song definitely takes you back to that time when she had the braids, which were so fashionable and still are today. the Janet album was out, and everyone loved this movie. So in honor of the film you have got to love the story.

All right hello my readers!!!!! I
know you all are so busy and focused on what you have to do with working hard at work,studying for school, spending time with your families, your boos, and friends, but why not go out and have some fun this
spring and summer in one of the fun, sweet places I know. I found this place
online actually a few years ago when I went to Las Vegas, NV located at for a
week-long trip and I was so happy I did because one of my close girlfriends and
I had a ball and we are so in love with this place.It is located at the Mirage Hotel and Casino it’s called The
Sugar Factory.They are known for
their brightly-colored delicious, sweet lollipops or the couture pops, donned with bright Swarovski
crystals.Everyone from Britney
Spears, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Holly Madison, The Pussycat Dolls, Mike
“The Situation” Sorrentino, and so many more celebrities have made appearances and have all been apart of the Sugar
Factory branch. My friend, Marisa and I (While we were on vacation back then) I don't know how I remembered this but we asked the young owners and we told them how we
wanted it to be in New York so badly and luckily she and I have received our
wish. I am not saying it was that simple but let's just say dreams and wishes always come true. You just have to pay close attention believe me.
This has been a long time in the making but finally it has made it’s way
to the east coast to New York City. So I have another reason to love New York
again...

actually. It will also be located at the Barclays Center this fall of 2013, in Bahrain across the seas, and I cannot believe it but it’s a true dream come true because let me
tell you other than Dylan’s Candy bar (located on East 60th and Lexington Avenue) , it is located in three different places in Las Vegas, the MGM, The Mirage, and now the Paris Hotel, Washington, D.C.. The Sugar Factory will make your heart
melt, as well as your mouth, and you will want to relive your childhood all
over again.However, the Sugar
factory is not just focused on the candies and goodies they produce and sell
daily. The Sugar Factory also manufactures t-shirts, hats, a whole line of
products, and now a restaurant!I
cannot be more happy and excited to go out and visit this place again and
again. I am excited and hoping that all of you will come out , dine, and enjoy
the delicious treats, meals, and the fun, exciting, bright ambiance as
well.I love it and
congratulations ladies on bringing the Sugar Factory, and “The sugar factory
duck” to the Big Apple. You are short to be busy for this season!
It will be located in the fabulous meat-packing district darling so go out for the night and enjoy yourself. I have seen previews of the menu and everything looks delicious. You have to go see for yourself go out and take kiddies believe me you all deserve a treat once in a while.

The film “42” is going to hit
screens nationwide this spring featuring the inspirational story of Jackie
Robinson.The film focuses on the
struggle, the obstacles of Jackie Robinson and the time period of 1940s-1970s
while he was in the major baseball leagues and the challenges he faced.The film will star, Chadwick Boseman as
Jackie Robinson (“Castle”,“Fringe” “Lie to Me”, and “Justified”),
Leo Durocher played by Christopher Meloni, Rachel Isum Robinson played by
Nicole Beharie (“American Violet”, Woman
Thou Art Loosed on the 7tH Day), and Branch Rickey the man who
discovered Jackie Robinson and believed he was Jackie Robinson was the right man
to make into the major leagues will be played by the multitalented, Harrison
Ford. “42” film will be written by screenwriter and director, Brian Helgeland (“L.A. Confidential”, “Mystic River”, and “Payback”).
This story is
inspirational not only to young men but women as well who are athletes who
participate in sports in school, high school, college, little league teams and
dream of making into the major leagues. His story is one that should be shared
in this generation and time.There
is no better time especially for what is happening in our country and globally
to have children of all ages to learn his story.
Some
do not often never realized that Robinson was an athlete most of his life
raised with siblings who all participated in sports activities while they were
attending high school and college. Robinson came from a single parent home
raised by his mother with three older brothers, Edgar, Frank, and Mack, and one
sister, Willa Mae.He was born
January 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia and later relocated to Pasadena, California
with his family.Robinson first
attended Pasadena Community College and later move to attend UCLA and followed
in the footsteps of his brother, Mack who was a 1939 Olympic silver medal
winner in Germany and earned the nickname “Mad Dash Mack”.
Jackie
Robinson excelled in football, basketball, and baseball and he earned the nickname
for his incredible speed “Jack Rabbit Robinson”. Robinson also met the love of
his life while he attended UCLA, Rachel Isum who he would later go on to have three children
with: Jackie Robinson Jr., Sharon, and David. Robinson not only excelled in the
athletics, in the major baseball leagues but he also fought in War World II he
demonstrated strength and character and even met one of his dear and close
friends, heavy weight boxing champion Joe Louis. The two of them their friendship lasted for decades and
remained friends until Robinson’s untimely passing in October of 1972.
Robinson
was a man who believed in citizenship, justice, and fairness, he and his wife
endured racial injustices as a couple and as a family. Robinson learned to
fight against it, and he believed that was one of the great things about him
being chosen to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947 was Branch Rickey
believed he would be one of the most successful men, and the strongest to
handle the negativity, racial slurs, and insults from the public, from the
media, and all across the world. Rickey was correct indeed and Robinson’s
legacy will continue to be shared in this great film due out this spring. “42”
has a great soundtrack and will also feature some of the major musicians and
artists of our time, such as Brooklynite, Sean “Jay-Z” Carter whose song
“Brooklyn We Go Hard” is featured in the trailer of “42”.The film makes its global debut and
will be in theaters, April 12, 2013 that is just in time to celebrate the
anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s first appearance at Ebbets Field on April 10, 1947
when he became player number 42 for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

All right my lovely readers and darlings I heard a few of my favorite celebrities and superstars say how their relationships or some of the most successful relationships they have had they were friends for a long period of time. I keep thinking hmmm...was there someone in my past who I could have been friends with and then we should have been in love together in a happy, healthy, and loving relationship. Or perhaps I should have invested maybe a few more months or even a year being friends with some of the gentlemen in my past. I think I probably should have been a little more careful. When I look back on high school, college it's like wait a minute...maybe I should have been a bit more patient just as I was with my best friends. We all invested time, we hung out, we got to know each other, everyone met each others families, friends, and everyone really spent time together getting to know the good, bad, and ugly side. It's weird cause I think if I had really stopped myself and said "Girl okay remember one self-control, discipline, have faith, you'll be fine, and really just be yourself you're going to be fine." I know we all have to go through certain things at a certain time to get better. But now I am really getting it.....one thing I realize I have been friends with a lot of my girlfriends for more than a decade lol! But I haven't been in a relationship more than sixth or seven months so now I realize okay I need to invest more. Not investing materialistic, money, but investing more time. I need to invest a lot more when it comes to the males. I mean I have in a way...but I didn't extend the time, we were often so caught up in just spending time together sometimes I often let the emotions maybe go too far back then. I think now we he and I need to step back and look at each other more like not just I want to spend time with you but can we be friends, just to know each other first and then move forward. I think that's what the key may be, being friends having a stronger connection, you really get a sense of a person, who they are, where they have been, what they have seen, and then that's the key to developing a better relationship. When I say friends I don't mean like "hey buddy you're my buddy I'll be your kid sister" lol...No I mean let me be your best friend who just happens to be a female and I can talk to you about what's going on inside of your world as well. I believe I am getting closer to the person who I am supposed to be with in my life but I think in order for this to happen, I am probably going to end up stepping outside of myself a bit, out of my comfort zone, and probably when I get to where I want to be at as well. I think it's going to happen when God, me, and this wonderful man thinks it right.

But for now no honestly I think it does really work I have seen relationships around me and they were friends first with their significant other for months before they decided to take it further to the next level. I think for me the next relationship I get into and whoever I end up with this will be crucial and important for us because then we can take it level by level until we know we are ready.

Glamourous looks coming across the Red Velvety Carpet last night in California for the 55th annual Grammy's awards were televised and broadcasted world wide for all eyes to see on CBS. Long gowns to structured more vivid patterns this year. The singers and musical artists definitely stayed on point. The beautiful looks I thought looked who fantastic were some of my favorite music artists as well. Award season is always great to watch you get to see the more sophisticated side of the artists. I applaud the people who work behind the scenes the hairstylists, the make up artists, the tailors, the people who make sure that every stitch is perfect, every bead is placed delicately, every high heel matches the gown. Those are the people who work so hard to make sure every single star who appears on that red carpet remembers "This is your moment, this your time to shine, and you better make us proud". It is one thing to take a photograph but one thing I have noticed when it comes to these looks a lot of the time people forget that you have a whole team of people who have work hard to find your sizes, your stylist who will represent you, the right person to style your hair, and make up to be perfection as well. The jewelry will usually go to the designer and manufacturer who needs to get more attention as well. It's really an art to making these superstars who they really are to the public. It's really a task in itself. You are talking about marketing to the 10th power.
