Fashion Night Out 2010 is upon us which takes place the second week after Labor Day usually and on Friday Nights which becomes Fashion Friday Night in September. You know I am going to be there. September is the biggest month for most fashion magazines i.e. Vogue which does their biggest fashion issue every September. This month on the cover is actress Halle Berry who was asked to be a part of Fashion Night Out celebration and festivities this year. Of course the style icon did not say no to Vogue. So she will be apart of the festivities and action happening on Friday night. Along with Vogue other fashion magazines Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, etc. these are all of the headliners for the magazine industry are all participating and it is important for that field of media. These magazines contribute a great deal to the industry and once fall has arrived it is guaranteed to give people the inside look to fashion trends for the fall season. This year Fashion Night Out is more than just about the designer's looks featured on the streets. This about giving back and taking into consideration charities play a major part in Fashion Night Out as well. So many entertainers, celebrities, and well known faces inside and outside of the industry take this seriously looking for their next big thing. Whether it is finding a model out to represent a company, campaigning and advertising for different images of clothing out in the public. Fashion Night Out represents various things within this industry. It also not only takes place in New York City. It takes place all around the world as well France a place I love of course the Fashion Country in the world, New York is the fashion capital, Japan, London of course all the fashion cities in the world Milan included these are the places that will be gaining on the big night to give consumers plenty of chances to enjoy fashions coming out this season and possibly for even next seasons Winter 2010/ Spring 2011.
I am very excited to be able to have this opportunity to be a part of the big night here in New York and I know this is going to be a fun, enjoyable night for everyone especially the fashionistas and women who love to shop until they drop, strut on the urban catwalk, and have fun. There are also t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, purses, and plenty of memorabilia to buy for part of this night. Get creative with the t-shirts you can wear them just about anywhere and re-design them giving them more flair and stylish.
You will have so much fun catching up and being apart of the night. I went last year and we had a ball trying to schmooze with all the hoity toity people within the industry and they gave out free creme brulee actually at Macy's!. So free food and free drinks it's going to be a party on 9/10/2010 FASHION NIGHT OUT IN NEW YORK AND ALL AROUND THE WORLD JUST IN TIME FOR FASHION WEEK CELEBRATIONS!!!!
FASHION NIGHT OUT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!
Everyone came out in Manhattan for the celebration I attended with my buddy,Marisa and we had a ball. It was soooo nice they had djs in practically every single store that we entered. We went into Forever 21, Express,Victoria's Secret, Macys, and more. All of these stores had lines going way back because of the fact that people wanted to see the models when they come into town. We had sooo much fun of course shopping. We went into Express and there were sweets ice cream, pink lemonade or pink alcohol free mojitos, We saw a very well known make up artist on the street in Soho doing a live taping of Fashion Night Out. A lot of people were there you can feel the energy...of course they want you to purchase things before you can actually meet them. We had cameras in our faces for a minute I thought But we were able to see plenty.
Our last trip of the night was Macy's and we ended there on a high note when we saw the beautiful,Kimora Lee Simmons signing autographs. I am so mad I didn't know cause I love Kimora and I was gonna name my cat after her lolz. Cause of the whole Baby Phat cat thing and she wrote one of my favorite books "Fabulosity" which I read. So I loved it soooo very much that would be cool. But I took photos she was wearing her hair blown out, a black dress, and her assistant, Sandra I believe was standing by the table. I saw plenty of security and it was just an amazing time to be there.
