Revenge Wears Prada comes to theaters May 1st, 2026-Friday Met Gala weekend

Anniversary of the film, June 30, 2026-will be 20 years later.

20 years later and the fashions are still iconic and amazing styles can still be worn today. Bold prints, crisp black, bold colors, beautiful handbags, and accessorize mildly a great hat, boots, or pumps.

It took long enough right? I love this movie and I am so excited to see this film along with all of you. All of our favorite characters are back in the sequel to the Devil Wears Prada. The fashion is back, the music, and Miranda Priestly is back all of the factors to make a great film. I am a huge fan I remember the summer when this came out I was excited and instantly fell in love with not only the dialogue, the costumes, and the characters. You can tell you were witnessing a film that would be memorable for years to come. An all star cast with Meryl Streep (“Only Murders in the Building”, “It’s Complicated”, “Julie & Julia”, “Mary Poppins Returns”, “Mamma Mia!”, “Death Becomes Her”), Anne Hathaway (“Love & Other Drugs”, “The Idea of You”, “Interstellar”, “Les Miserable’s”, and “The Intern”) , Stanley Tucci (“The Hunger Games”, “Shall We Dance”, and “The Lovely Bones”), and Emily Blunt (“The Smashing Machine”, “A Quiet Place”, “Fall Guy”, “The Woman on the Train”, “Disclosure Day”).

The whole cast was extremely talented bringing Lauren Weisberger’s characters to life. We are fast forwarding into 20 years later we pick up with Andy is now an editor for the Plunge magazine, married to a media heir, and runs conveniently into her old boss again, Miranda. The timing is beautiful and perfect for them to pick up exactly where they left off at. Sort of like an impromptu reunion for the two powerful women. Andy has matured she’s 30 now not the same fresh faced college undergraduate we know when she was an assistant at Runway Magazine or dating her hot boyfriend the aspiring chef, Nate. So now that we get to revisit our favorite characters. I wonder will there be a repeat situation.

Will Andrea go back to work for Miranda? Will Andrea stand up again to Miranda defend herself and let her old boss hear what needs to be addressed and said after all of these years. It can go either way in this sequel. She can stand tall once again like a heroine or will she fall flat under Miranda’s red stiletto Prada pumps. Only time will tell. So that means you have to go see the film and find out how this reunion, Andy, and Miranda’s lives turn out years later. “Revenge Wears Prada” will not only be the sequel and follow up to the “Devil wears Prada”. It will also include the celebration of the 20th anniversary (June 30th) and will coincide with the Met Gala weekend celebrations. So May will be a huge and busy month for the film industry, art industry, and fashion industry. Revenge Wears Prada comes out on Friday, May 1st, 2026. I hope you get your tickets early, take your girl gang, your sister, brother, neighbor, cousin, or whoever is a fashionista, art lover, and book lover too. I will see you at the movies and celebrating Met Gala weekend. This Met Gala includes the following chairs and co-chairs, Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour for the “Costume Art Theme” along with Anthony Vaccarello, and Zoe Kravitz. Michael the King of Pop his story comes to theaters this spring, April 2026

Michael in theaters April 24, 2026-Friday

The name Michael is Hebrew for “Who is Like God?” How many of you consider Michael Jackson to be a music god? Do we think Michael Jackson was like God. Did he have characteristics, powerful traits, and abilities that were similar to God and what he can do as a recording artist? What he created on Earth as a human, and even in his life story. Are there themes of God in the 50 years he lived and was with us. Everyone on earth has a Michael story. I have come across a lot of Michaels in my lifetime. I have gone to school with them, I went to work with them, I am even related to a couple of Michaels, and I was a stepdaughter of a Michael too. My stepfather, "Michael B" just happened to come into my life when I was a little girl I was 10 years old when I met this particular Michael. He also happened to work with the King of Pop, Yes that King of Pop. He was part of his team for previous albums on Sony and for the “Invincible” project. I remember because he bought the cd home and allowed me to listen to it too. He worked in marketing/promotions and A&R for Sony/Epic Records during this time frame (1994- early 2000s). He is still a music executive to this day.

I learned about Michael, “The King of Pop” at a very tender age I was about 3 years old when I discovered Michael. I was at my mother’s friend, Michelle Rollison’s house when I first learned about the great, Michael Joseph Jackson. This was probably 1989 or 1990 I was downstairs in the basement of her house and I think I came across the “Thriller” album was sitting in her basement on the floor in Queens. I believe she played some songs and music for me when I was a little girl. I think the next time I came across Michael again was when I was a year older and Michelle’s son introduced me to the making of the Thriller video on the VHS videotape. I was terrified of the video I think I was pretty scared of it and scared of him. That fear of him was temporary. Fast forward during my childhood my parents and my stepfather are both extremely big fans. So MJ was here to stay there was no way I was going to be able to let him go and that piece of my life. I think I fell in love with his lyrics, his dance moves, and his connections to his fans. I would see people in the audience passing out in some of the videos I would watch or clips I would see on television. The medical professionals would be rushing and putting everyone on the gurneys and taking them backstage.

My father would record some of his concerts and we would watch them at home. For me were also his music videos, and then came Janet. I discovered Janet Jackson his baby sister I was about 4 years old, we had her tapes in the house. I would see her music videos featured on BET, MTV, and VH-1 along the way. So Janet has a very special place in my heart and we love her as well. Now back to Michael when it comes to him people have such high admiration of his music, his capabilities, and how he transformed entire generation of music as a whole. Not just with his performance, his musicality, his ear, his videos, costumes, and still continues to influence so many different people. Even his family to this day.

Michael is a chosen one….What is a chosen one? "A Chosen One" is a being or beings chosen by God to change the world and shake up the entire trajectory of the universe. According to Google and AI by definition this is the official definition. A chosen one is a person or people singled out by the divine for a special purpose, destiny, often involving a spiritual mission, leadership, or unique relationship with God. Often at times being chosen by God you do experience some discomfort and challenges along the way. You’re still human and you will have a lot of emotional, mental, or spiritual challenges in life. Yet you are selected on a mission to impact human life and the universe itself. Michael fans would probably notice this…did you ever pay attention to when he would often put his arms out during a performance similar to Jesus Christ on the cross. It was a powerful symbol for people when they would see him do that. Almost as if the divine himself was saying he has a special message for all of you in his songs, lyrics, and even his life story. His birth, his life, his passing, and legacy transformed lives of people including his entire family the Jacksons. If anyone remembers in 1992 there was a film about the story of Joseph Jackson Sr. and Katherine Scruse later Jackson called “The American Dream”.

One of my favorite memories he would do the stare look during a live concert performance where he would take off his sunglasses and stare into the audience. The crowd would go wild and scream. A lot of the R&B, Pop stars who came after Michael or during his time would go on to emulate his style, his showmanship, and his performance abilities. My second favorite memory has to be when my mother took me to see the Jacksons 30th Anniversary concert. It was summer 2001 and an entire line-up of superstars were there. I was about 14 when my mother and I went to Madison Square Garden (aka “MSG”) in New York City to see him perform. One of the highlights I will never forget. We were high up but behind the stage we were able to see artist leaving the stage, performing, and the audience reactions too. That performance there was electricity charged up from the audience. Everyone knew the lyrics, dance moves, they were just in awe, and ecstatic about R&B/Motown royalty taking the stage. Michael, the Jacksons, and their incredible parents their story will continue to be an inspiration to all of us about first pay attention to your children. You never know when your child has a special gift, vision, ability, or say something that may change their entire life and lead to a career. Believe in family, believe in vision, believe in the American Dream, and your talents can transform someone’s life as well.

Michael the musical film is starring Michael’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, Jermaine Jackson is Jaafar’s father. Jermaine is Joe and Katherine Jackson’s third eldest/middle son. The Jacksons had 6 boys: (Jackie, 71, Tito, 70 he passed 2 years ago (10/15/1953- 9/15/2024),Marlon, 69, Randy, 64) and 3 girls: Rebbie, 74, La Toya, 69, and Janet, 59 fun fact Jackie was born the same day as his mother, and the girls were born in the month of May like their mother Katherine . Jermaine later had seven children from two previous marriages. Jaafar Jeremiah Jackson (born July 25, 1996) is a singer, dancer, and now has transferred over into acting. This will be his debut film and he will kick it off by honoring the life and legacy of his uncle. He even says in his Instagram page he is honored and humbled to bring his Uncle Michael’s story to life and he will see all of the fans all over the world he will see everyone soon. I really hope that the entire Jackson squad will be there to watch at the premiere. It is only fitting to have every Jackson, close friends, producers, writers, and of course the entire cast and crew there.

I hope all of you will see this film and the younger generation will learn about the true story of “The King of Pop” how he became this person, it’s not given to you, you’re made into it, you’re built into it, and you find it within yourself too. For a chosen one you’re blessed to find your purpose early in life. It takes an entire village, a journey of people to get you where you need to be. I hope all of you will remember, go down memory lane, if you are an older fan of the Jacksons, Michael as he became older, or just a music lover in general. I hope the younger kids will open their minds sonically to the instruments, the lyrics, the power of his songs, not just the beat or rhythm, his dance moves, but really hear the message he conveyed to all of us. One thing about Michael the same way how we emulate, love his dance moves, and copy them. We forget that our heroes had heroes themselves. Michael’s musical influences played a big part and contributions from R&B artist, Jackie Wilson, the godfather of soul, James Brown,Elvis Presley (he also married, Elvis's daughter in the nineties, Lisa Marie Presley), and also had influences of Frank Sinatra, and even his label mates on Motown, CBS, and Sony label mates too.

So you will see the influences in his music videos, performances, and songs. His legacy continues on through his 3 children: Michael Jr, Paris, and “Blanket”. Of course his family, through Broadway productions “MJ the Musical”, “Cirque de Soleil” in Las Vegas, NV, “Motown”, many unauthorized books, his music videos, and other projects, and his YouTube channels too. I am so honored in this lifetime I got a chance to listen and see this “Michael”-Michael Joseph Jackson the King of Pop (August 29, 1958-June 25, 2009) perform and his story he lives on through all of us. One thing I will say that still resonates with me when Michael left and transitioned back to heaven I will say this that month it rained all month long. All month long I am not exaggerating we didn’t see any sunshine until the very end of the month. I think even the universe knew that someone chosen was being called home. So on that note again have fun, soak in his story, the cast’s performances, and take away everything that he left for us which is music gold. I hope all of you go see the film on April 24, 2026 Friday. Visit http://www.michael.movie , www.lionsgatepublicity.com, and www.michaeljackson.com for more information on his life, the film, and more.   One more thing universe thanks....I am so happy this movie trailer came out on my birthday last year November 6th. I was home when I saw it and had to show my mother right away. Cannot wait best birthday present ever.  I had to include a few photos from attending the MJ's 40th anniversary of Thriller too.
This one memory will never forget Fall 2022 at the Thriller 40th anniversary exhibit I hope they bring it back with all of his memorabilia. It was ice cold that day in NYC we were freezing but we love MJ!

We say good-bye to a New York icon, the metrocard (Jan 1994-Dec 2025)

My last two metro cards they expire end of January 2026 lol. It's been real and a true journey!

Call Me “Miss New York”….not only have I played “New York” from “Flavor of Love” for a college project my professor probably still has the project somewhere, I am a native New Yorker, I have taken every single subway train in the last 15 years since I have lived here and 25 years in total the A/B/C/D/E/F/G/J/M/N/Q/R/S/V trains(Shuttle)/W/Z and the 1234567 trains. I can tell you how to get around the 5 boroughs, good eateries, tourist attractions, and where to stay too.

I couldn’t believe it last year when we found out that our beloved Metro card would be leaving us December 31st, 2025. I have traveled a lot in our country and have taken trains inside and outside of the country. I can tell you this as one of the greatest cities in the world we have to step up our game always. I first met my metro card in high school. I was attending Cathedral High School and was commuting from New Jersey in the fall of 2001. So the first MTA metro card we received in school was green and white. The next metro card I would purchase would be the card we used until late 2025.

I have loved this card saving me, getting me to work early mornings to be filming on set, traveling to Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan. Taking my card into Hoboken and Jersey City too while taking the PATH train too. So I had my card for about 24 years. Many late nights coming home from work, traveling, or wherever my next adventure was the metro card was right there. My metro card almost got me in trouble too! Winter 2022 I remember running for work and I was on the M15 bus to work heading to midtown. I had my metrocard and needed to refill but I couldn’t make it to the MTA machine without having to be late for at that particular time. I got in trouble one of the MTA transit workers came on looking for everyone. I was fined…MTA I got you I still owe you a little something something lol! I got it your girl has been busy. I will handle my business. So yes I have had memories people needing a swipe and a ride. Me needing a ride and a swipe to get through thank you to all of those people who ever gave me a swipe on my way to work if a machine was not working or if I may have had lack of time to get to the machine. Metrocard you are one of our NYC icons: the empire state building, The Chrysler building, the Freedom tower, Brooklyn Bridge, pizza, the pigeons, taxis, our critters lol, and our beloved subway. You entertain, you get us to work, we have our moments, and stories. To our beloved metro card thanks for getting us all to our destinations. Swipe Swipe….now we tap tap for OMNY. As a Manhattan girl I say good-bye friend I am going to miss you but evolution is the way we keep making New York City greater and better. Change is always for the best. Dedicate "Say Goodbye" by Chris Brown and "Take the A Train" by Duke Ellington and his band, and "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra  to all of the New Yorkers.  Visit http://www.mta.info for subway information, directions, on Subway/LIRR/Metro North,  and http://www.omny.com to register, pay for your OMNY if you are a local resident, tourist, or coming to move to NYC for the first time. Good luck and enjoy your ride safely.

Pantone's 2026 color of the Year we are dancing in the clouds

We are Dancing free in the clouds with Cloud Dancer Pantone's 2026 color

I know everyone is like “huh? Why white?”’ Why not White is a color and for us brave people who love a great white trench coat a’la Olivia Pope, a white corset top, or white palazzo pants. I have actually worn all three of these so I am proud wear white and let your brave girl or boy flag fly. Now because white is a neutral color and pairs with metallic materials, denim, black, browns, and bright colors. It’s very easy to style. I believe some people look amazing in white a great white pinstripe suit, a white bow tie satin suit, a white dress I don’t just mean for bridal purposes,

I mean for just even the summer time. Think heading out on a yacht to the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Sag Harbor, or going to Santorini in Greece. White will look amazing against the blue seas, the colorful homes that line all of the cities and countries. So this year be fearless, be bold, where white you have until passed Labor Day I think we can give everyone a pass because of Pantone’s fashion color choice for the year.

As we step into a new color remember you can pair this with any other colors, neutrals, but consider texture so it doesn't look like you're a Grecian goddess or god or you're about to be apart of your own wedding or someone elses. White needs texture lace, cotton, fur, pleats, leather (faux leather or vegan), silk, satin, eyelet, and other rich textures and prints will help you. White is crisp, clean, and neat to wear. Keep your white pristine with dry cleaners and plenty of Clorox. It will help maintain that style and elegant look.

This white corset blouse I would wear anytime with a midi skirt, jeans, black pants, a leather skirt, or shorts. This top can be paired with anything and it gives you that fabulous hourglass shape.

White coat
I told you she always looked great in her signature cashmere and trench white coats and hats.

Saying Goodbye to 2025 and Hello to a new start in 2026

Hello my readers I have missed all of you so very much. I unfortunately had an accident with my sidekick. Who is my “sidekick”? Well my precious lap top. My laptop was gifted to me Christmas 2020 and I instantly fell in love with it. I was able to write most of my blog entries, poems, songs, book vacations, take photos, play games, and create videos on IMovie, and more. I was pretty heartbroken because I worked so hard with my laptop. There was a flooding in my apartment the flooding was mild but the damage was serious. I was in my bedroom October 19, 2025 when it happened. I was watching “Abbott Elementary” on Amazon Prime. I had missed the entire 4 seasons and wanted to catch up.

I figured after working hard that week getting up for work that I would finally just relax and catch up on all of my favorite shows, characters on television. As soon as I got comfortable my mom called me and told me Chloe get out here! Water was coming from the above apartment, my neighbors their apartment flooded because of their laundry machines installed. Someone was not paying attention and some other water was loose, floating, and rushing inside our living room. My laptop was on and was sitting in the living room. I should have known better to take it with me and keep it close. I was distracted and I forgot about it for a few minutes. The laptop had water damage all inside it even seeped into a tiny crack on the screen. My laptop flashed changed a different color and unfortunately it went black. We tried everything even thought maybe a few days later if it “aired out” it would come back to work again.

No! Was all I could think.  Heartbroken absolutely I had been working on some amazing things and gearing up for the future I have my family photos, friends, videos we have taken over the years. I was  ready to write about some new things in pop culture, television, film, and even my own personal life. My blog turns 18 this year October 21st, 2026 yes my blog is a grown lady this year. My blog is my first baby really I am so glad I created it. I am proud of the journey it has taken me these past 18 years I can’t believe it. It has helped me find an identity for myself. I have been able to explore my creativity as a pop culture blogger, writer, journalist, songwriter, poet, actress, and it has taken me into a new world. Screen writing and film. I am exploring screenwriting and producing now.

Coming up with new ideas every day and writing. I have some things up my sleeve that I am still working on and I hope when I get my new laptop it will be well worth the wait. 2025 was not easy for me by any means I had my own set of challenges. I had tons of rejection letters from jobs I applied to I thought I had a great background, and set of skills.

I was laid off 3 times- March 2025 for being sick with bronchitis I was sick from the cold -weather, my manager getting sick, and some co-workers. I had been working for the company 3 months at that time. Getting sick was not in my plan by any means but I did and they unfortunately let me go, I was doing great working for a property management company in Harlem but it was not right there was a lot of drama and things happening beyond my control. Ultimately it was for the best for me to leave and find a new position. I worked my other jobs went back to one of my old jobs and that kept me busy and I focused on other opportunities. August 2025 because of “organizational changes” and corporate coming into my job I worked at a hotel as a temp I worked in events, sales, and finance and I just started in May. I had just started with them and I had some finance experience too. I was doing great until corporate came to observe and felt I was not moving fast enough. I had just started with the company May 13th and I remember it took a month for me to get set up for my computer, software, and everything else I needed. I was not ready and it was not the company I needed to be working for. It just didn’t feel right. I met some nice people but I feel it was not the best situation. There were too many things happening behind the scenes with human resources, there was a high turnover in the office. The first day I started someone was planning to leave the next week! It is never, a good sign when someone at your job just came back vacation and decides to leave their job less than a week later. Pay attention to the signs. I started at an awkward time in the middle of the year right before summer started. So I should have known even then this does not seem or feel right. If people start leaving the moment you come into the office ask for a transfer immediately. Don’t stay at a company when you see more than a few people leaving quickly. Leave it’s for the best.

I left August 20th, 2025 Wednesday and came home. I did a few temp jobs with Robert Half and then began again with Crain’s. August to November I was busy working my events jobs with Crain’s Business Magazine that kept me busy in the mean time. That helped me a lot but I still needed something to cover myself. When this situation happened it stopped everything for me. As a writer you cannot be without a pen and these days a computer or laptop. It’s like not having a typewriter in the 1940s and 1950s. If something happened as a writer you want to scream inside like “What now what is it now” I would compare me being without my computer like this a singer without his or her favorite microphone and earpieces. She/He needs great quality sound to hear the music and sing the lyrics. For my sports fanatics lets put it this way if a football player doesn’t have shoulder pad protection and a helmet or no football. There is no game. That’s how a writer feels without a computer. Lost I felt lost, I felt heartbroken, I felt like my friend was gone. A friend who just listens and doesn’t judge they just let me vent, say what needs to be said, and help me solve the problem. I had a lot of heartbreak and loss.

Our family dog passed away March 3, 2025. I also lost my job a week later, lost a couple of people I knew personally as well who transitioned Earth. Those who were connected to me who passed last year were a little girl of a childhood friend, my former boss, and my friend his grandmother who was a real sweetheart. We also lost some major stars too. I had some good moments too but I would not compare it to some of the things I saw in the media and television. Prayers for everyone if you lost anything or anyone in the fires in LA, the devastation in Jamaica, the events that occurred in New Orleans, or the events that happened at schools and other places around the globe. I pray that you all will find solutions, insurance companies will repair, construction companies and contractors will work quickly, repair, interior designers will come in to rebuild, repair, and design beautiful homes, condominiums, hotels, schools, and apartments for everyone.

As we all approach and move into 2026, and say good-bye to an eventful and memorable year in 2025 for the books, television, media, film, and globally. I hope all of you will take the good with you, cherish the good times, memories, and focus on the positive. Do not let the bad things, tough situations deter you, or make you frustrated. You take away the goodness and what brings you up and brings you happiness. I try to concentrate on the good memories, going to Los Angeles visiting my school, getting accepted to graduate school, seeing the mayors running for the 2025 election, going to concert to see Keyshia Cole, Amerie, Lil’Kim this year, and celebrating the 30th anniversary of Waiting to Exhale a blockbuster hit movie for the female and black community. I try to focus on opening myself to love again and dealing with some personal struggles too.

I met someone he lives in Harlem too. He has a 9 year old soon to be 10 year old. He’s a funny, silly, laid-back guy, but he’s very extroverted loves people, big on family, and he’s got a good heart. I just do not know if he’s “my person” yet. I feel like keeping my options open cause I am not going to lie to myself. I know what I am looking for and whom I want to include in my life. I am looking for my husband, for my person, and a new home to start fresh. I know in my heart God is really watching over me. I pray for greatness, abundance, glory, hope, and change ahead in 2026.

I am stepping into a new decade (officially this fall in November yes the Original Manhattanite turns 40) my friends and I we will be stepping into our forties this year. For 2026, I pray for greatness in this decade and that they see more blessings, and achievement ahead. I closed chapter 38 and I think it 39 may have been a little rocky but I see and feel progression coming. So for 2026 I am going to say Happy New Year, Happy Life Journey to all, pray for you my readers for greatness, goodness, and that you all achieve great success solo, together, and collectively as a whole. One more lesson I can pass back up everything. I am glad I backed up a lot of my work on my drives, flash drives, and other places. So you have laptops back up everything, put plastic down, and beware of juice and water.
