"The Perfect Man List" came to life but quickly disappeared

I met a young man recently and kind of felt like this list I concocted together I had it on my old Blackberry cell phone which I treasure a lot. The list entails all of the qualities I am looking for, all of the things I have come to love about men. I thought he fit this list perfectly his height, his personality, he had everything I was looking for at the moment. Was amazing to meet someone who actually could be pretty perfect in my life. Perfect in the sense he has everything I really want and need as well in someone who can make me better. Well  so because I always protect my crushes or my love interest (until I am officially dating them), I am going to call him "Mr. J.S." for his initials. He decided to disappear so quickly because of something so silly. I will explain further in detail....all right we met at a work event. As you know not only am I a writer/blogger but I do have other jobs to keep me busy too as well. I met him and thought he was gorgeous he actually looks like a model. We met earlier this month. He's 28, African American, 6'4", great smile, from Brooklyn but lives in Queens. He used to be a model and did a few things on the side. All right so we met he asked me for my phone number, he called, he took proper protocol, he called me right away, and we were on the phone for the past few weeks. He graduated from one of the schools I know a couple went to as well in Queens also. 

Something happened though we never had a chance to go on a proper date due to his work obligations and he was busy training working at one popular airport in New York City. He got a recent job, he and I had some things in common, for example he loves Popeyes Chicken. I do too. He loves the New York Giants I became a fan also after their 2008 championship and 2012 as well. We have similar travel interests and music interests too. I was very honest and open with him from the beginning not hiding any damn thing. Now he gets upset yesterday over something silly that I said. Am I wrong if I want to know your work schedule because I want to spend time getting to know you? 

Am I wrong by asking when can I see you? Nope it's a innocent question but apparently he told me I was too much for him, after he just praised me telling me he would give me red carpet treatment when I am traveling, he told me we would go on Caribbean hot vacations one day, but how can you start telling me these things then a day later flip the script. It made me question somethings right away number one when it comes to work and relationships how do you balance the two? How do you mistreat someone who is being good to you. How can you tell someone I am just not interested, I don't want to go back and forth with you....we just met you fool!. I have been talking to you for a few weeks. I am not combative or argumentative unless we need to go to that route. I did nothing I simply asked when his schedule was like because I know he works 5 out of 7 days of the week now, his schedule could change, and if I want to see you why would you even just tell me not this week, not right now maybe later.  As opposed to "I am not interested"? I am clueless like the damn movie now because the fool is telling me one thing praising me and flirting. Then the next telling me you're too much....not in the cute flirtatious way either. It was an insult. I don't even want to see him now, he showed a lot of red flags 

All right readers red flag number one as we are getting to know each other we're on the phone he tells me"Are you a controlling Scorpio?" No I am not but yes those of you who know me personally know I am a Scorpio but forget my astrological sign and its traits. I am not controlling at all never when it comes to relationships or friendships never. I usually allow the man to take control usually. He lets me know his schedule and if we see one another then we do. Red flag two acting like a child because I am asking you a simple question "When are you free?"

I am disappointed in him because he didn't have to be nasty about the situation it was so childish and silly. Yet can we act like real grown adults, instead of using work as a lame excuse,we can schedule if you want to get to know me. I am not going to push the issue though because I know I deserve so much better. One thing kept pushing me today was three things "You are the prize", "You are worthy", and "You are valuable". I had to remember that because I am not going to waste my time ever with someone who doesn't appreciate me.  Another thing I had to remember was this "This is a good thing....he's not the one Chloe".  If he's not the one then this means I still have time to meet him. If he was he would get in the ring and fight for me. As I said in this blog many times I want a gentlemen willing to fight for me and with me in the boxing ring of life. Cause it throws you some crazy curve balls and we're going to be in this together if it was necessary. So now I am going to wait and see there's so much I have in  front of me I am looking forward to, so many choices, so many opportunities. It's not a problem at all though he and I will be friends I guess. So for now I have plenty to keep me motivated and going believe me. So as for him it's over. No worries for me at all. You know I have got a lot to do now so readers we will see. Stay tuned....does anyone thing that there's a possibility "Handsomeness" may be the one. I have been thinking that. You know who "Handsomeness" is if you read my blog. I have to protect Handsomeness because he's a semi-celebrity local now lol.  "Handsomeness" you probably want to know who he is I will tell you this. We met three years ago at a past job I had, we So we'll see. For now I can keep enjoying my time and seeing who's the next prospect of love =) xoxo my readers love you I'll be back for more very soon.  We'll see trust me in the future.

Life of a Bridesmaid Series with Honey Brown Sugar: The first Bridesmaid dress fitting

I met up with one of my dear friends for her dress fitting everything went excellent! We had great success of course. I woke up very early and I took the bus from Port Authority and made the bus just in time to be taken away down to Rossmoor which is a section right by Monroe Township, NJ.  She picked me up and of course she looked beautiful as always. We all met up together the other three bridesmaids, and maid of honor.  It was great we had lunch, we talked, and caught up on all of the ideas and the plans for her big day as well as another of our friends big day too. We played a wedding game I created as well.  The dress fitting went pretty smoothly, when we all drove over to David’s Bridal that’s when it really hit me that yes this is really happening, yes we will all be bridesmaids, and yes I will get to see my friend in a wedding gown again. Ok that last part didn’t happen, I think she wants it to be a surprise  which is perfect, we all don’t want anyone to see the dress anyway until the afternoon of her wedding. I believe you should delay and wait until the actual day of the wedding anyway. I convinced her about the flower girls. And ring bearer. See the flower girl is like the opening act of a concert. Everyone wants to see the main event but you need to see the opening acts before we get there first. So I believe she is warming up to it. We all can go flower girl shopping and I think it’s adorable.   Yes she just told me last night its official they have been added to the wedding party. Dresses for little girls are pretty reasonable they cost less for the junior bridesmaids, bridesmaids, and even the mother of the bride at times.

            So some tips I should suggest for all of you future brides to make your day go super smoothly, remember this is a business, this is not just pleasure, but business, schedule your appointment for your fitting properly so everyone in your bridal party’s schedule is not affected. Luckily all of us are able to work around our schedules and we usually have been choosing Sundays which even though it is the Lord’s day lol (God understands I am sure). It seems to work out really well too.  So choose a day that will be able to help everyone. Choose people in your bridal party who know you well, you are close with and who you love spending time with as well in all situations. You want your process to be smooth, to go really well, and you want to enjoy it too. The next step remember YOU ARE THE BRIDE…..THIS IS YOUR DAY…THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT. You must remember that because this is what you have been dreaming, hoping, praying, wishing, and wanting since you probably attended your first wedding or played as a little girl I am sure.  The next step know what colors you want, what works for everyone in your bridal party as well. Also be sure you keep in mind the day, the weather, the timing, being comfortable too. All of these things consider because this is what’s going to work for you and your bridal and groomsmen party.  I say go all out especially if you can afford it, have fun, have entertainment, have music, have dancing, get the people loose, especially if everyone knows each other, you just want it to be fun and exciting too. This is about the couple’s union, their relationship, their lives joining together, and that’s the best thing to celebrate for the wedding.  We are scheduled for another bridesmaid fitting which we will have shortly.  Hello my HBS readers I miss you all believe me I try so hard to make sure I get a chance to talk to you all believe me. I have been busy of course as usual right....Something for me to talk to you about.  A lot going on so much but believe me but I want to focus on one thing I really want to talk about. The music has been incredible this year and I really wanted to get this off my chest definitely because as you know I do this strictly for all of you the (85,000 plus of you) and the people rockin' with me since 2008 lol. =) 

This year has been an incredible year for new music, new movies, and entertainment. It’s a great time in the entertainment industry and many ideas have come up that are inspiring and changing the way we view people and think as well. The ladies have stepped up for sure and are making their voices heard in the music industry showcasing their opinions, talents, and making it known that not only can I entertain you, make you laugh, and have fun. They can make you also think and manage to give women an inspirational message too.  The new it girls of 2014 that I have seen and heard who I believe will make a great impact on women. “Iggy Azalea”, Meghan Trainor, new R&B starlet and singer, Tinashe, and the new pop/dance princess, Ariana Grande. These 1990s born four ladies have had their music playing on the radio all over in heavy rotation. I believe these four have the ability to make some noise and definitely make an impact now.  I chose these four women I wanted to discuss them because they are all incredible and making a way for all women to have their voices heard and also have found a way to make people notice and take a stand as well.They are reminded us all that the music industry is of course evolving changing and they are making a way to really become great artists leaving a mark behind, entertaining, and making people become entertained as well in this music industry. 

"She be that I-G-G-Y" IGGY AZALEA

First artist is Iggy Azalea her real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly born on June 7, 1990 in Sydney, Australia but was raised and grew up in Mullumbimby, South Wales.  She did form a group when she was about fourteen years old and she wanted to be a rapper and form a group like the nineteen-nineties hit group the incredible, T.L.C.. She compares herself to artists like Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes. Iggy definitely could go against some of the legendary rap artists of the 1980s, the 1990s, and the current artists. She has an impeccable gift, she raps with a syncopated, fast paced rhythm similar to a high speed car in a police chase. She has a way of really moving you, and she has soul in her voice as well. You would never know she was born as an Australian. You would believe she was actually an African American woman. That's what I thought she was but she raps with this southern accent which comes from Miami and her time being there. It's incredible how she has broke into this business shocking us with her talent. The 5 foot 10 leggy beauty is not just a hip hop recording artist she is also a model and did some modeling in the past as well. 

As we know she made her debut with a song called "P**sy" I am keeping it clean for you all. Then the next hit songs that have been on the radio have been "Work", "Bounce", "Change your life", and of course the number one hit song that was featured on the Billboard Pop Charts and Contemporary charts is none other than "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX. It debuted on the Billboard 100 charts on May 28, 2014. The song instantly became my favorite song how can you not love it. It's catchy I even had my parents singing the song in the car. So its incredible and not shocking to hear that she has debuted at number one. This song played on Pandora radio, played in heavy rotation on iradio.com, on the radio stations here in New York City, I even heard the ice cream truck drivers blaring the song on the radio during the summertime. The video was shot perfectly with a mock interpretation of the movie "Clueless" (1995) starring Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash. She even received many shout outs the video was perfect and genius. I have it here for you as well. The songs and her videos are bright colorful, definitely has a positive message, she has a way of drawing you in as well. I think she will have more hits coming in the near future.

She's all about the curves and that bass,  MEGHAN TRAINOR 

Meghan Trainor the blue-gray eyed beauty with the curves. She was born on December 22, 1993 in Nantucket, Massachusetts. She is a songwriter and singer she has an incredible gift and really has found a way to make women to embrace to their curves and size. She's teaching young women about self-image and how to love themselves outside and inside as well with this powerful song. Now we know men like something to hold on too which she matter-of-factly mentions in the song lyrics. It makes her realize that we all needed to really here a song like this right away. I love the message because if I had a little sister, when I have a daughter of my own, or even a granddaughter if I am fortunate. I would want her to know that you have to accept, embrace, love, and use everything that you're given with completely. Sometimes things can be used to your advantage as well. Meghan's song has done so well on the Billboard charts she got a number one hit on the 100 charts, and she also earned a gold record recently when Ellen Degeneres discovered her and found her as well. She wrote the song and it became a major hit.  L.A. Reid is the one who discovered her as well and we know he knows talent. He discovered Pink, Usher, and of course TLC. Meghan is the real deal please keep coming out with the hits definitely cannot wait to hear more from her.

"The triple threat" ARIANA GRANDE  

How could something so powerful come out of this pint sized diva. Ariana Grande Butera was born on June 26,1993 from Boca Raton, Florida. She appeared on Broadway in a play called "13", she has appeared on Nickelodeon as well. She also has had a number one hit since 2013 called "The Way". She keeps belting out hit after hit and has done incredibly well in the last year. She won the Breakout artist award last year for the People's Choice Award, she also has a four octave range. Ariana teamed up with two other divas recently with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for a song. She has this incredible voice that is often compared to Mariah Carey she can even be in the same range I believe with Celine Dion if she really plays her cards right.  She has an incredible voice that if trained and continues to build her instrument she will go on to probably make hits for the next decades to come.  Oh did I mention "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea has also been on the Billboard charts. "The Next All Out Entertainer TINASHE 

Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe Tinashe means "God is with us" incredible name born on February 6, 1993 in Lexington, Kentucky has graced us with her talents is an all out entertainer she is a performer, entertainer, singer-songwriter, actress, record producer. Tinashe's song "2 On" has debuted at #24 on the Billboard charts, but trust me she is getting so much love the R&B, pop, dance, and hip hop radio stations her song is playing on heavy rotation on the radio. She has appeared on Two and half men and has often been compared to Mya, The Weeknd, and Aaliyah as well. Great comparisons Tinashe I hope to see more from her in the future.
