Hot Looks of Award Season 2013

Glamourous looks coming across the Red Velvety Carpet last night in California for the 55th annual Grammy's awards were televised and broadcasted world wide for all eyes to see on CBS. Long gowns to structured more vivid patterns this year. The singers and musical artists definitely stayed on point. The beautiful looks I thought looked who fantastic were some of my favorite music artists as well. Award season is always great to watch you get to see the more sophisticated side of the artists. I applaud the people who work behind the scenes the hairstylists, the make up artists, the tailors, the people who make sure that every stitch is perfect, every bead is placed delicately, every high heel matches the gown. Those are the people who work so hard to make sure every single star who appears on that red carpet remembers "This is your moment, this your time to shine, and you better make us proud".  It is one thing to take a photograph but one thing I have noticed when it comes to these looks a lot of the time people forget that you have a whole team of people who have work hard to find your sizes, your stylist who will represent you, the right person to style your hair, and make up to be perfection as well. The jewelry will usually go to the designer and manufacturer who needs to get more attention as well. It's really an art to making these superstars who they really are to the public. It's really a task in itself. You are talking about marketing to the 10th power.
Katy Perry in Mint Green dress stole the show!

So for my 2013 best looks who really represent the actresses, actors, singers, bands, and people who really made an effort to make sure that they follow dress code rules or not. Who stuck true to who they are as people and individuals. It really is a genius concept how do we top and make this person even better.
Here's my take on the award shows best dressed looks...

Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia Royal Red dress

"Carrie Bradshaw" becomes popular again this time in high school"

I have been a  fan of  the Sex and the City series television show and films. for the longest since their debut I was still a pre-teen actually when this show came out but hey I was growing up and learning a lot anyway. So does the young Carrie Bradshaw featured on "The Carrie Diaries" which is written by Candace Bushnell. Young Carrie is played by Anna Sophia Robb. It is set in 1984 New York City in junior high school.  She moves from Connecticut to New York looking to be a writer. The show obviously is not as racy as its older big sister, "Sex & The City" but it has the same charming, humorous, cheeky sense of humor as the previous show. It is fashionable, girly, and it takes you back to the innocent time of high school and when people were having fun trying to figure out everything back in junior high and high school. The anticipation and excitement of dating, the fun you have hanging out with your friends, you are keeping up with the fashions, you are keeping up with the popular girls, but now it seems Carrie is not only the new girl, she becomes the new popular girl with her sidekicks on the show. So stay tuned and make sure you watch. It's a whole new world going into what Carrie's life was like pre New York Star column, before her article, before the 3 females who would be her soulmates for life, and before her fabulous life with "John Preston" aka "Mr. Big". Her life is new, unique, and she has a great life in junior high looking to make her way in the big fast paced, growing, and often dangerous New York City. We will see how this prequel television story and series will take off in the future.

Justin Timberlake comes back with 20/20 vision

JustinTimberlake's new look for "20/20 vision" album in stores Tuesday, March 19, 2013
Justin Timberlake is back with a new album. I have been anticipating this one for a long time actually, he has been a busy man these last 11 years since his very first album, in 2002 with Justified his biggest singles were "Cry Me A River", "Like I Love You", and "Senorita" when he came on the scene after going solo from N'SYNC.. He amazed us all with Futuresex/Lovesounds in 2006 with "My Love" featuring Timberlake and T.I., "What Goes Around Comes Around", and "Lovestoned" some personal favorites of mine. Timberlake has had some amazing roles he starred in the "Facebook Film" which he played Sean Parker in the film in the fall of 2010 it was released, he has had an amazing career obviously since he was a child on the Mickey Mouse Club, in NSYNC, and beyond but now we see him in a new light because he has done amazing in his roles. He was in "In Time", Alpha Dog, Bad Teacher, and of course my favorite forever, "Friends with Benefits". Now he's back with 20/20 vision I can see clearly (no pun intended). Justin has come full circle he really has the whole package as an entertainer and he's only 32! So this is only the beginning for him.

Friends with Benefits (2011) with co-star Mila Kunis
The Social Network film (2010)
Justin starring as Sean Parker in''The Social Network"
Future Sex/Lovesounds (2006)
He has had an incredible acting career, fashion line, William Rast as well. Now he's teaming up with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter for his new single, Suit & Tie all ready heating up and making it's way up the Billboard charts. I am looking forward to this one too Justin has incredible range, he's eclectic when it comes to who he works with in the studio, in the past, Pharrell Williams and of course Timberland when Timberland & Timberlake get together it's over and it's nothing but a straight Sistine chapel masterpiece with these two genius musicians and producers. So get ready ladies to scream again like you're at a NSYNC concert cause Justin drops his new album Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Make sure you look out and listen to his new single.  Visit http://www.justintimberlake.com for more information.

"Destiny's Child" Reunion & Beyonce conquers the 2013 Superbowl

I am super excited for this year....I really am....All right when I got the news that there was a Destiny's Child reunion you don't know what that did for me. This is the reason why I even found out about Beyonce, Kelly, or Michelle in the first place. I found out watching music videos and I wanted to look, sound, and sing just like these girls. I have been a fan for about probably 15 years since they first came out with "No, No, No" (Part 1 and 2) which was produced by musical genius, Wyclef Jean.

I am in heaven to know that these ladies have decided to reunite, come back together, and I had a feeling it was coming but I didn't know when this year it would drop. I heard hints on the View on ABC when Kelly Rowland performed first but now I know for sure it is all ready in the works. This is excellent timing, it's perfect, I mean you have all three ladies who have had major success, major hit records, if you did a world tour it would probably be a 3 hour concert with all of that music. So to see that they are back and they have accomplished so much in these last 9 years since their last album, 2004's "Number One Hits" and "Destiny Fulfilled", clearly their destiny as the group together is still not done yet.

I am very excited for the group, for Beyonce's promotion with Pepsi, for all of their success as a group, and I am looking forward I hope to that they are considering a world tour again in the near future.

Love Songs has all ready a new futuristic feel and vibe to their albums with "Nuclear" as their first single. So now these soulful sisters are back together again, it would be interesting to see the whole group together again wouldn't it with the old members who have had tremendous success? Hmm....I guess we'll see stay tuned. Love Songs will be released Tuesday, January 29, 2013 and get ready to watch the Superbowl on February 3, 2013. Get ready to party with Beyonce and the ladies, hope you can refresh your memory and remember some of these hits. Refresh your memory and visit I Tunes, Playlist, and Pandora to hear these hits. Also watch out and look for Beyonce's documentary coming airs on HBO,February 16, 2013 at 9p.m..

The First of the Month, First Day of the Year...

Hello my beloved readers, Happy New Year's 2013 01/01/2013. Do you realize when the first of the month begins you get to start over again. I feel like a lot of my life changed when I left for Washington for about two months. It gave me a lot of time to think, test the waters, and see what else is out there. Now, I feel like with this New Year a lot of changes have been made in my life. A new beginning starts again, now I can really concentrate and put the future in my hold. I think I have better clarity now, I know what I want, and now I have a more realistic plan that will help me get to my future., I have accomplished a lot but I haven't accomplished some of the things I should have when I was younger though. Now, I have to sort of make up for lost time and make it happen.

So there's a new plan and mission, It is crucial for me to accomplish these goals because if I don't I am not going to be the person I want to be now. So here's my contract to myself for 2013....
I Chloe Jewel Riccardo better known as "Honey Brown Sugar",
Promise this first day of January, 2013 to accomplish my goals for myself and to do what is necessary. I feel the pressure, I know what I have to do, now just make it happen when I return back to work. So we will see what happens and I know it has to happen. I promise this year my readers to give you more interesting, fun, authentic, and news-worthy stories too. I have a lot to do and I promise to accomplish it too.

So I hope you all will do what is necessary for you to do...you know what I mean the things you put off, the things you avoid because you know it's good for you but you tell yourself not to because it may not make you better. You fear it, so now even if I ignore it. I will have to do it.  So let's take the challenge doing everything you need to do that you have avoided for so long.

2012 In Review

It has been an incredible year full of unexpected twists and turns. I am so grateful to know that we as a country are changing and we are heading in a positive direction. The world is changing rapidly and fast. I think I noticed last week when the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut tragedy which took place December 14, 2012 were honored. There was an interfaith memorial with people of all backgrounds shown on national television. Isn't that incredible how we are blending people's faiths and practices in the world. It's a blessing to see that people are coming together. I remember someone said this generation will be the one that is about we....we all coming together. Doesn't that seem to be a common theme for the last decade. We are all coming together uniting as one.  In times of tragedy, in times of difficulties, and times where we are all tested against the human spirit and faith.

This year had some chapters where we had to say good-bye to a lot of people, television programs as well, people who have impacted the world but one thing remains no matter what happens like they say...the world will receive something new, something more powerful and amazing will come along and touch all of our lives again. So we look forward to the future.

I am looking forward to a lot and I cannot wait to see the plans of our country come into action and make major changes, I can't wait to see people receive what they truly deserve. So all in all it has been an incredible year.

Thank you readers for rocking with me this year....and listening to my stories and journey. Stay tuned there is always more to share with you. God bless, Happy Holidays, Stay safe, Be smart always, and most of all love one another and yourselves too...=)

Honey Brown Sugar is heading into a new direction

I am excited...very excited actually because I finally decided to take control of and figure out the way to manage my love and passion for food and then mixing it with my love for staying active, fit, and exercising. I spoke with my doctors, I spoke with the Queen of my heart (my mom), my wonderful stepdad, my dad, they all know how important this is to me. It's not just about man I want to look fit or I want to look good. It's really about keeping the inside healthy and keeping the outside happy too. Sometimes I often forget it's not just about how you look but really how are you feeling inside. Are you being honest with yourself, is there some area of your life that does not feel right. I am learning as a young adult even more how to put everything I used and learned from my health classes in high school, community college, and college. What I learned from my parents, what I all ready know.

So Honey Brown Sugar is on her way into a new direction I feel good about it because I know this is going to take time. It is also about realizing a lot of things that used to motivate me too. That will help pay off. I believe this is a great way to close out the year. After all of the drama, all the situations that happened this year, all of the heartbreak I felt for Mr. Handsome (remember him) he I will probably not see for a long time. I realize now that my life is really starting to take shape. It is falling into place. I am praying that everything will work out. I have set some good goals for myself. I am starting to figure out being honest with yourself too. That's another key to figuring this whole thing out. I am looking forward to 2013 and the future ahead. I feel like I am getting ready to embark on a new journey, a new challenge. I feel great about this now because it makes me happy to know I have people behind me who are supportive and so loving. Deep down I know they don't care how small, big, or whatever size I decide to carry my physical self. All they care about is making sure that I am happy and healthy. So I realize now doing some new things they can be scary sometimes but at times those things can make you just the person you have always wanted to be.

I reflected back...I thought about what used to make me happy, who used to motivate me, inspire me, what will make me want to get to the place I have always wanted to be at as an adult now. So I think doing that is going to challenge me. I also know that it is going to take a lot of time, patience, but I will get there. I am a visual learner I always have been. If I see it I usually will remember it and then I am able to pick something up. So if I can keep my eye on what is healthy, what is good for me I will reach my goal come December 2013. One year....focusing on health, fitness, and success.

My love life I have decided the next person....he has to find me. I am not doing anything from now on...no more contacting, no more anything. Just focusing on my plans and my goals for now. So I feel good about this now. This is what I need for now.

So my beloved readers, let's just say I am going to be handling my business.
